“This chicken was excellent, very tasty, could only taste the herbs in the skin. This did appear to be a Ross bird, and I was expecting a slower growing bird.”

“It is very hard to get a decent chicken from a supermarket - most have been pumped with water to increase the weight. Chickens from Herb Fed definitely taste superior.”

“Having been buying your chicken and turkey for over a year. The quality and value is excellent but more than that the taste and texture surpasses even the best that a supermarket has to offer. I use your delivery system and never have had an issue.”

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback on both the chicken and our customer service — it’s greatly appreciated. We completely understand your thoughts on the postage cost for smaller orders, so just to give a little background, we use specialist insulated packaging that is guaranteed to keep the chicken chilled for up to 48 hours from dispatch. All parcels are sent with our courier partner DPD and packed with ice packs to ensure everything arrives in perfect condition. We do offer free delivery on orders over £75, all of our chickens are caught and butchered fresh each week, then vacuum-packed, which also makes them ideal for freezing on arrival. We really appreciate your understanding and your support of our small business.

“Top quality flavourful chicken, we wouldn't get it anywhere else. Arrives well wrapped, well perhaps a bit too much polystyrene and on time. Far far better than supermarket chicken.”

“I discovered Herb Fed Poultry about a year ago and oh wow it was the best chicken we’ve ever tasted. I’m still amazed every time I cook one, the taste, texture and sheer volume of chicken you get is out of this world. If you’re wondering should I buy one you’ll never look back if you do.”

“Came across Herb Fed Poultry at the Great Yorkshire show last year . We have had several deliveries from them . Straight forward ordering and always gets delivered when agreed. Most importantly it tastes like Chicken, it actually tastes like chicken!!”

“We purchased our first Herb Fed chicken last year and we were over the moon with the quality, the delivery and most of all the taste. So much so that everyone that has had a chicken meal with us has commented on how nice it was and where can they get some, as we are a number of couples it made perfect sense for us to group our orders together so to benefit from the excellent free delivery.”
