“I have dealt with this company before and given a 5 star rating for customer service (sales), quality and choice of stock. On this occasion I was disappointed that I placed and paid for an order and some 3 days later was told that the second set of items was not in stock and could take 6 weeks or more. It then took a week to action the partial refund. I appreciate that unforeseen problems can sometimes arise but when an item is out of stock why don't these companies just say so BEFORE they take your money?! I shall use them again but check the stock situation first!”

“Handles were exactly as described and arrived timely. However, 4 of the 8 screws included in this package were duff -- too shallow for any flat head screwdriver to comfortably screw into tough wooden doors, and eventually scraping the brass away at the top where you screw. This was inconvenient, though fortunately I kept the screws of my old door handle fixture that were deep enough for this job.”

“Door handle set quickly delivered and in good condition BUT massive and in my viewe unjustifiable postage, cost almost as much as the item itself, but couldn't find an alternative supplier.”

“Handles4Homes have a good range of door handles at reasonable prices. When I placed my order everything was showing as in stock. However the company called me a day or two later to say some goods were out of stock. They offered to send part of my order but I heard nothing after that and am still waiting - totally unsure of what to expect and by when.”

“Handles delivered pretty quickly. The courier was the let down, leaving hundreds of pounds worth of door handles on my busy street in clear view of anybody walking past and also got absolutely drenched in the rain. Luckily, a family member spotted the big box outside my frount door and kept it safe at theirs.”

“received the handles recently, now fitted to my sliding glass doors wardrobe, but found the material of the handles not as rigid (strong) as my last handles, only time will tell.”

“Ordered a frelan Bell premium chrome barrel bolt. This item is described as premium but casting is not machined or polished to what I would expect of a item described as premium and isn’t a lot better then a standard bolt bought off the shelf. Also took ages to arrive 11 days !”

“I ordered an oak/brushed chrome door knob and spindle set. It arrived promptly and looks nice. However, the door handle seems to turn both ways and often does not engage properly and lock the door closed without a lot of fiddling, turning the handle one way or the other, so that is not very satisfactory, particularly as it is fitted on a fire door.”

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for the review, however it seems that the mortice latch already in your door is not suitable for these unsprung knobs. We do provide advice regarding the knobs and latches and how they work together. A lot of door knobs on the market are unsprung for a purpose, so that the knobs may be operated by turning either way, but in these instances the latch needs to be stronger so that the knobs spring back. “Delivery was quick and product was excellent. Only issue is that I need to return one item. To do that I need to email for a returns number. I have done so, but have had no response. Consequently I will need to phone. Disappointing as noted already delivery and product were excellent.”

“Good price, good delivery, the cabin hooks that arrived were not the same as the pictures on the website. A little detail but they don't match the existing ones and I ordered from Handles 4 homes because they appeared to match existing.”

“The actual door stop was a good quality product and I am pleased with it. However the small bag of C/P fixing screws was not adequate. It contained only 3 No C/P C/S slotted head screws for installation + 2 No phillips screws. Meant I had to shop for for a matching 4th screw to complete the job.”

“No complaint with item ordered. However postage charge was too high and out of proportion to cost of item. Clearly handles4hones made a profit on the postage although undoubtedly they would dispute that criticism.”

Hi David, Sorry that you felt the postage charge was too high, however for small orders we offer a cheaper Royal Mail method of delivery which is £3.30. This charge also covers the cost of the jiffy bag, and is a service that many other companies do not offer. We feel that it is good value for money. Thanks Handles 4 Homes
