“I was working on a very old, very hard piece of oak and really struggling with chisels and gouges. So I called G&S for advice about spokeshaves and drawknives...... Matt explained why I needed a draw knife, which I promptly ordered. At the end of the delivery day I had done more carving with this lovely tool than in in the previous week, and very happily. It's not finished yet, but here's a picture of the heron in process.”

“Delivered on time as promised. I have wanted a left handed hook knife for years but appear to be rare as hens teeth. Available but usually out of stock. So finally opted for a double edge knife from these chaps. The Mora 163 Double Edge Knife is a reasonably priced tool with a comfortable handle and a good edge. I find it easy to use and hope it will give many years service. I have no hesitation in recommending G&S Specialist Timber.”

“I was looking for some fairly specialist woodworking tools. Most websites I searched didn't stock what I needed, or, at least, at a price I considered reasonable. G&S however stocked a good number of the specific tools I wanted, and delivered them swiftly. I've bookmarked them for the future because I'm certain I will use them again.”

“I required a dovetail saw and ordered from G & S, I was immediately advised the ordered was being processed and an estimated delivery date. This was followed up the next day with a confirmed delivery date. Excellent service, the saw arrived on time and was as described.”
