“I ordered a number 6 sweep 40mm fishtail gouge and a number 7 sweep 35mm bent gouge by Pfeil. They both arrived well packaged and within 3 days of ordering them…and the shipping was free due to order being above £50. I am just getting into wood carving, spoons and bowls, and these gouges are for bowls. These are impressive tools to say the least. They are very well made and without a doubt, they are built to last. The girth in the metal blades are thick and looks like they are meant to do a job and as I looked at them, they are up to the task. I have not tried them out as of yet, but I know that it will be a memorable experience. G & S Specialist Timber has a wide variety of wood carving tools and I was impressed with their notifications about providing an invoice and keeping me informed about the shipping expectations. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them. Their prices are competitive and they don’t charge for shipping once you go over £50.”

“Good quality timber accurately and beautifully prepared. Delivery time in hours not days so great service and many thanks. The half inch dowels were for repairing a broken Windsor chair and the 6mm dowels were for the spindle parts of Turkish-style Drop-Spindles used for the traditional way of hand spinning wool where accuracy and quality are paramount.
