“The Iroko timber dowels are excellent; they are to replace NHS aluminium walking sticks, which clatter as you walk. Once they are on the lathe to put some small pattern on and cut to length, they will be excellent. Thankyou for the good service provided. I will recommend you to anyone.”

“The photo of the bottle purchased was not the same as the one that arrived. After enquiring with G&S Timber they assured me it was the same product? However ai did not find the product as effective as I hope.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review, The image of the product was an old image this has since been replaced with the latest image given by the supplier. The product supplied is the correct product. We are sorry that the product wasn't as effective as hoped in the application you were using it. “I ordered a selection of different diameter oak dowels on Sunday and they were all delivered on the following Tuesday. The oak dowels are of very good quality and affordable. I am a keen hobby woodworker and will definitely be using G&S again for all of my specialist timber in the future. Great products great price and delivered quickly what more can I say. Thank you G&S”

“I have ordered wood from g&s timber many times and as a carver i need good quality wood. I have recently ordered some tulip wood and i must say its fantastic for carving. If you are a carver then try tulip wood but buy from here for personal satisfaction.”

“Great service, very knowledgeable and fast delivery at a good price. Just bought 2 Pfeil long bent gouges to carve some Japanese Naguri finish into an oak step between our bedroom and en suite. Gouges we're razor sharp straight out of the box, beautiful tools..... Will shoot with G&S again without any hesitation...”
