“Very good quality timber and great customer service. Let you know exactly when it’s coming and if any delays. Only one negative (which is hard to find) The timber comes wrapped in single use plastic and bubble wrap.”

“I had a project on the lathe, for a friend and sought advice from G&S about suitable timber. A swift response, with a link to a suitable product, was just what I needed. The timber was ordered and arrived well inside the expected 10-12 days lead time, well packed and prepared, some beautiful timber. I have come to expect great service from G&S and was not disappointed. Thank you.”

“Very impressive service. I ordered ash, beech, sycamore and oak bowl blanks online on a Saturday evening. Each was shown as being in stock on the website and clearly this was up to date as by mid-morning on the following Monday I received an email notifying me that my order had been dispatched and it duly arrived by courier (DPD) on the Tuesday morning. I am relatively new to wood turning but to my partially trained eye the blanks are all of excellent quality. I will be using G&S Specialist Timber again.”

“Excellent customer service. I received 1st order promptly with DPD COURIERS. Ash dowelling looks quality. Still waiting for rest of order with a rather dodgy service from TNT. Said they have attempted delivery and left a message neither of which is true.”

“The 6 mm ash Dowling arrived in good time and was needed for a miniature Cupolla and had to be bent in a steam box. Nine of the 10 short lengths successfully bent in to a quadrant of 175mm radius”

“The whole buying experience was great and the dowel arrived promtly. It had a slight bend mainly at one end which has become more pronounced as time goes on. Looks like it is trying to morph into a hockey stick.”
