“I'm always cautious about buying bowl blanks on-line, so often they arrive with splits, serious blemishes, or are undersize. Happy to report that these bowl blanks, like every blank I've ever bought from G&S, were excellent quality and fully up to the size described. I'm a happy customer and will be back again for more!”

“G&S staff were helpful and their despatch was quick but they were let down by the appalling "DX overnight delivery" service which took 4 days! I complained directly to DX by phone & online but there was no response or follow-up which was no surprise, considering their many 1-star reviews. I've bought from G&S twice before when they were using DPD but I wouldn't bother again if DX remains their carrier.”

Good morning, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you have issues with the delivery from DX, Sadly after Covid DPD no longer allowed us to send liquids with them anymore, meaning we had to look at other couriers for this. We have looked at the tracking and can see that your parcel was shipped on the Thursday and delivered on the Monday, sadly DX don't class Saturdays and Sundays as standard delivery days and if you try to contact them on this days there will be no one available to look into it also. If a customer has any delivery issues we would always suggest contacting ourselves as we have a dedicated customer service team and our enquiries are prioritised. “Great service, nice wood. Not being an expert I'd have liked a label for each of the dowels I ordered (beech and oak) that said order was timely, the slight delay was notified and acceptable so all good.”

“Have bought carving wood blanks from G &S for years, always good quality. In store they have always been helpful. This is the first time I have used the delivery service. There was a small issue with my order but this was dealt with quickly after just one email. Great service, would definitely recommend.”

“I'm very pleased with the machined ash planks I've received, several times I've ordered from G&S and I'm always impressed with the quality of the wood and service. Ordering wood online has the potential for disaster, products unseen, but I can recommend G&S to anyone planning a project AND you can order wood pretty much ready to go with the selection of finished sizes on offer. The ash dowels brought a particular smile to my face when I unwrapped them, specific projects suddenly came to mind !”
