“Ordered a single item that arrived speedily but was not what I ordered. After a telephone conversation the correct item was sent and arrived with a returns label for the initial item. All sorted within three days. Excellent customer service!”

“I have frequently ordered dowels from you. They have always arrived promptly. This time I wanted slightly thinner ones and the web-site warned me that there would be a 2 week delay. After I ordered them I also received a personal e-mail warning me of the likely delay. That was all very impressive. In fact you dispatched them earlier than the 2 weeks, so thank you very much. I will be ordering more.....”

“I have used G&S Timber several times in the past for both hand tools and timber supplies, they have a good range of tools and timber species available to order from their website, and the customer service is excellent. I recently ordered some pieces of Sapele and Ash timber, but upon receipt I discovered one piece had been cut to the wrong length. After contacting them by telephone to explain the anomaly and sending some photos via email, the mistake was acknowledged immediately and the correctly sized piece of timber was forwarded to me within a week. I would highly recommend them as a source for both tools and timber services.”

“Good range of sizes in lime. I was well pleased with the lovely wood. IT was delivered extremely quickly and well packed. A big bonus is the free postage on offers over £50. The quality of the timber is fabulous . Sometimes kiln dried wood can be very hard but this is just right. I can't wait to start carving. I shall definitely buy from G& S again.”
