We are a family business based in Glasgow, Scotland. From a small start in 2012, we have become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of mountain sports equipment. Our product range has an emphasis on equipment for off-piste skiing/boarding and ski racing.

Renowned for our customer service, we will give each customer our individual attention - if something isn’t right, we’ll do our level best to sort it. Our choice of products is driven by our own experience as mountain sports enthusiasts. If we wouldn’t use it, we won’t stock it.

“Gravity protection gave us a good price and delivered promptly. These Dakine roller bags are great and difficult to find in the UK. I ordered them to replace a pair that got mangled on a recent border crossing. The zips are really strong and the compartments work well for multi venue trips. The 85 litre bag easily holds 20 kilos of luggage, plenty for 3-4 weeks travelling.”

The £5 signing-on discount doesn't happen automatically, once you subscribe to our email list a voucher code is sent to you, which you need to put in at checkout. I can see you subscribed to our email list and were sent a code, but didn't use it in making your purchase. I've therefore refunded £5 to your payment method instead. “Needed to make a purchase of an overnight suitcase, something sturdy yet portable and cabin size. Found the ideal case and compared the price on a number of sites which is when I then found Gravity Protection. They had a great selection but were also very competitively priced - so pleased I ordered from them, the whole process was seamless, easy to use website, quick order fulfillment / despatch and kept updated every step of the way. Great service, wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again !”

“I ordered a dakine ski bag for a recent ski trip. I needed the bag the day after ordering and the Gravity Protection website promised next day delivery if I ordered within a hour. I phoned to check this would not be a problem and was assured it would be by noon the next day. I paid £14.99 for the expeditied shipping. Next day I got an email from parcelforce advising delivery between 11-1pm. However the bag never materialised. I tried the tracking all afteroon but all it said was that the bag had been delivered to Coventry. I went on holiday and had to use another bag that I had purchased in error (slightly too long). The bag arrived on the Monday - four days after the order, two if only counting working days. Gravity Protection offered to refund the extra £14.99 shipping I paid for quick delivery, which is really the bare minimum. I asked if they could discout the cost of shipping it back to them (£5 or £10 - not sure what it would be) but they said I would have to pay to send it back. Then I was going to sell the other bag to a friend for £20-30 less than I paid, taking a bit of a hit. I thought this would be a really good solution for everyone. Very disappointed by this as it is only not required becasue they did not fulfill their origial delivery promise - I placed the order in good faith, and whilst the blame is really with parcelforce, the buck stops with them - they made the delivery promise. Such a shame they were not prepared to budge even a tiny bit and take my idea in the manner it was offered. For such a small amount, they have lost a potential lifetime customer as I won;t bother them again after this.”

We’re sorry that your order did not arrive in time for your trip. The parcel was dispatched on time using the next-day service as requested, however there was a delay within the Parcelforce network which meant delivery was one working day later than scheduled. As a gesture of goodwill we refunded the full £14.99 expedited shipping charge you paid. If a customer decides they no longer require an item and wish to return it, our returns policy states that the cost of returning the goods is the customer’s responsibility. This is standard practice for online retailers and is clearly outlined in our terms and conditions. While we understand the situation was frustrating, the item itself was only delivered one working day later than the guaranteed service, and the delivery charge you paid for that service was refunded in full.
