“Navigation in the job list is infuriating. After viewing a job detail you have to go back to the top of the list again, and you could have been quite a few pages in. Support contact is good though. Tom answered promptly.”

“Grafter seems like a win win for all. I had a one off job to be done. Grafter was extremely easy to use, I found some one very quickly that completed the job to a very high standard. My only criticism of Grafter was that after I had offered the job to a candidate and the candidate accepted the job, the job opportunity should have been closed. Instead I found I continued to get lots of candidates applying after the job had gone. It seemed a shame for the candidates that they were applying for something that no longer existed. Perhaps a small change in the software could make this a better experience for all. Over all I would use the system again.”

Hi Susan, Thanks for the feedback and glad you liked Grafter. Some people want multiple workers for their job which is why it keeps running after you have hired someone. There is a PAUSE button if you have found the people you need but it looks like you didn't see that, so we need to make it more obvious! Thanks Tom

Hi Lee. Thanks for your comments and for using Grafter. We continue to work on improving the service, it will probably never be perfect, but you will see some significant improvements in the next few weeks and that will continue... On the charge, we make this as low as possible, but we do have to pay to build and run the service. This fee includes all the insurance and payment transaction costs for each job. Our 10% fee is still hugely cheaper than the 30% - 50% that traditional agencies charge, but they bury their fees in the overall day rate, whereas we are transparent about ours. Regards Tom

“Early stages of useing grafter at the moment but seems to work well need to search through the jobs most don’t pay enough needs to be over 100£ a day to cover tax. But the work is generally more relaxed”

“Overall experience was good, I found website not easy to navigate, and I really think Labourers should register before they can apply for jobs. They should only be allowed to communicate with you after they have accepted a job. I found this a little confusing, as I was talking to many people, who were giving me phone numbers trying to avoid working via Grafter. this needs addressing, as its very easy to just join again after being banned, by changing your name slightly (which happened to me) Overall good experience though, I was happy with my eventual choice of labourer although I wanted two, but one was enough in the end so it didn't matter. I would use this site again if and when required.”

“this was my first time to use Grafter.i originally required 4 grafters for a 3 day job. These jobs were filled within a few hours. Unfortunately, 2 grafters did not turn up which was disappointing, however the 2 that did turn up were very good. Overall I believe there could be some changes in structure but the idea is a good one I would use them again, but I would need to be assured that the grafters turn up.”

Hi Iain, Thanks for the feedback. We are still working on Grafter and so it get's better and better! On your point about Grafters not turning-up, we are about to make it much easier to write a review about Grafters that cancel last minute or don't turn-up which should stop this happening.
