So when they finally announced distillery tours we jump at the chance, and yeah it didn’t not disappoint.
Seb and Shug the perfect duo to show us round the distillery and warehouse and shared some great drams.
Also got to purchase the exclusive distillery bottle and what a banger it is.
If I got the chance we would do it again.”
“Makar Original is my 'go to' gin. It has a very nice strong Juniper presence and goes perfectly with Tonic, as a pink gin with bitters or in a Negroni.”
“I ordered three bottle - the Mulberry gin, the cask strength Peated and the rum. All three are fantastic and I have to single out the rum which is extraordinary!! I shared some with a rum fan last night and he was absolutely bowled over with it!! I may have to restock…….”
“Having joined the GD community I received an email about the launch of a 6 year old Ruby Port Cask Finish 55 abv single malt whisky. I placed an order which included a charge for delivery and received the goods in a few days time.
I resisted opening the bottle for a few days and when I did what a surprise! The Port Cask Finish was obvious from the colour, but I have never tasted such a wonderful malt before ,I have tasted a few being 72 yo next month ! The palate is wonderfully rich and spicy, with a lingering finish. I was tempted to lay down for Xmas but hey its too good to leave sitting on a shelf ! Thank you 1770 GD I will be coming back to shop in the very near future.”
