“In December of 2014 a very bad cold spell caught me out, whilst delivering Xmas cards to friends, my car stalled outside my friends house who were at work, and could not get it started. Contacting GEM I was told the someone would be with me within the hour, this later was increased by 25 minutes. The weather had turned too cold for me to stay with the car, so I contacted GEM to say that I had to move or else I would be in trouble, I told the chap on phone and from the goodness of this mans heart he agreed and told me that the recovery vehicle would pick me up from home. I had to start to go home (1 mile or so ) I was dithering with cold. This happened, I was picked up from my home, my car was restarted and I was mobile again, without the help of the GEM man I would have been in real trouble, Thank you friend.”

“Good breakdown cover and quick response times. Only down side is that when you come to renew your subscription they don't include new offers to existing customers. Don't like that!!!!”

“We received quite prompt service. It was rush hour and the driver had to come through urban traffic. He worked quickly and efficiently. We were very pleased with the service”

“I rang to check a couple of things. It hadn't been clear if the 12 for 10 was in the final price. Then my question about the underwriter was not answered. After a silent wait, I rang again and eventually was told of the unheard of answer. I went ahead”

“The call centre was very helpful and a recovery truck arrived in 45 minutes on a busy Saturday afternoon in Cardiff. The recovery firm took myself and my motorcycle home but failed to send me the receipt I required. A quick call to the GEM claim line and they informed me shortly after that they had obtained it directly by email. Within 24 hours of receiving the claim my bank account had been credited.”

“I have had occasion to use GEM on a few occasions over many years. I describe the services as a little more earthy than the AA, RAC etc but as long as you have your phone and the GEM card with your details with you everything is fine. When the occasion arises I always recommend GEM to other road users as it is excellent value for money.”

“A friend in need is a friend indeed that was GEM in my hour of need. That is the test when you need help. The whole procedure was efficient and most effective. The service was excellent. I would also like to thank Chris at Central Garage Recovery. Also Terry at Lowes 24hr recovery .Both companies in addition to GEM kept me informed and executed their task faultlessly a pleasure to have dealt with all concerned. I have recently bought a new car and will maintain my membership loyalty with GEM. Again very many thanks.”

“GOOD COMPANY FOR RECOVERY EXCEPT IF YOU HAVE A 12 FOOT TRAILOR INSTEAD OF A 10 FOOT FIND THIS OUT IN THE SMALL PRINT YOU GET FOOLED WHEN YOU SEE THE ADVERT WITH A 25 FOOT CARAVAN BEING TOWED ANYWAY £525 POUNDS LATER I I HAVE LEARNT A LESSON ANOTHER COMPANY YOU CANT TRUST AGAIN READ THE SMALL PRINT D NASH”

“On your Website the Premium quoted for new customers are cheaper then renewal Premium for existing for same Cover. So this means that at the expanse of existing customers, the new customers are enjoying cheaper Premiums.”
