Hi, I really do not like being hassled by your staff to install the black box in my car. I am no tear away youngster I am 78yrs old. As I keep referring to them that my insurance does not start until the 4th October, as If I were to use the car before then, any claims would be with my old insurance. It makes me furious as they keep saying it will be installed ready for me to drive, to me that is no excuse to keep send emails to say put it in the car, I got so fed up I have NOW PUT THIS IN THE CAR. I am not impressed one little bit, it maybe an idea to have a word with staff. Thank you for taking me on, it was going so well but has now put a damper on things.

I had no problem getting in touch with them To get my insurance , the agent was very friendly and experienced, I got the policy I wanted the price was right I was also happy to accept this new device to put in my car to keep an eye on my driving. this device will help me to be a better driver, although I’m an ex London bus driver .the whole experience was pleasant.

I think the overall concept is great and the app has a good interface however, the way it calculates what classes as the different “faults” is ironically faulted. I don’t think it’s right that because someone has put me in a situation where I must either break sharply or steer out of the way in order to avoid crashing that I should be punished for that if it makes sense. I understand you say to always look ahead however when the situation isn’t one that emerges but is immediate. This is verging on impossible. Alongside this I once got a hard acceleration when I was breaking which I think sums up my first week and a bit with your system.

The Telematics team does take into account that you will have to adapt to the road ahead and that this, as well as other road users can cause you to take actions that may impact your score. As a result they acknowledge that your driving score won't always be at 100. For the sake of the policy, it just needs to be above 30.
