I had around 14 - 15 years no claims. Hastings direct reduced my no claims to 4years for making non major claim. I think this is really disgusting. Hastings also do not reward loyalty. My renewal quotes are always higher every single year until I ring to discuss.

Been with hasting direct for quite a few years with no claim's whatsoever, and on renewal time I get a email saying they can't give a quote this year. Very strange as nothing has changed!

One star only because zero isn’t an option!!! I’ve been driving for 12 years, maximum no claims bonus. Never made a claim in my life not even a windscreen claim. I’ve been a loyal customer for years with Hastings then suddenly this morning I get an email saying they can’t renew this year. None of my details have changed, I live in the countryside, I’m probably one of the lowest risk people you could possibly want to insure. They won’t give a reason for why they won’t renew me just a straight no after all these years of paying in full every year and being a loyal customer! Absolute joke. I can’t wait to see the day Hastings insurance goes into liquidation, karma. I hope everyone you insure make claims this year

Never used before but thought I would try and shop around. Perfect site and found deals even cheaper for a car and a truck (£300 cheaper together). Amazing and worth a try

DO NOT USE - Significant number of hurdles that need to be overcome to make a claim and living in this Country would be difficult. Storm damage claim is only applicable with force 10 conditions, apparently the recent floods do not even come close. Making a claim is almost impossible! Will not be using Hastings Direct again, my advice is steer clear at all costs.

WHATCH OUT DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FIRM Carefull Out there, this company has every potential to scam you As I found out in the hard way, I went on compare sites looking to insure my car, This name HastingDirect was popping up as cheapest insurer, that's the moment the scam starts They pretend they offer the best price, soon as you complete, agree and ake the payment, they will send you a tiny tracking device asking you to install that in your vehicle immediately, at the same time they will send you an email telling you that they may cancel your insurance policy because you didnt set up the app on your phone on time, By this time (less than 10 days since you purchased the cover ) they have already cancelled your policy and they have deducted 10 % of your payment, Everything happens so quick and in such a quite way that by the time you find out your insurance has been cancelled you have probably driven days with cancelled insurance leaving you completely vulnerable to being stop by police and having your vehicle taken away and scrapped aswell as fined Thats what happened to me, although I did exactly what they said, in fact I was taking instruction in live chat with their agent to set up the app on my phone and the tracking device, everything went live on my app as they said but at the same time they had already cancelled and deducted their profit, They are a top sophisticated money ripping scam WHATCH OUT DO NOT BUY FROM HASTING DIRECT

You should have received an email from us that explained why we were cancelling your policy and included the date we’d cancel it from. We apologise if you didn’t get this email. Richard who handled my claim was professional friendly and caring happened at night phoned first thing Sunday morning to see if I was ok.I am not brilliant at on line things but I found it very easy my car was wrote off all settled with in 10 days . Very happy with service even had a call from Mokgadi on their help line she was lovely too no complaints at all. Only problem is Not with Hasting but Go-Compare who offer £250 excess back still waiting asked for proof over a week ago still waiting no one answers call ask for confirmation on Emails none given shouldn’t offer service if they don’t won’t to pay make it very difficult Hastings direct fantastic service Thank You Richard for making a difficult time a lot easier to deal with A Happy customer

I wanted to find out if my insurance could cover me to drive in America while visiting my family. I couldn't navigate my way through all the sales links. I used to be very happy when I used Hasting Previously, but doubt is seeping in this time.

Hello. Thanks for letting us know about this and we’re sorry you had trouble finding the answer to your query. All our policies cover use in the EU (and several other European countries) as standard. All drivers on the policy will have the same level of cover as in the UK for any trip, for up to 90 days per trip. Unfortunately, America is not part of the EU, and therefore would not be covered. My insurance is due to renew today. The auto renewal payment failed, everything is fine with my bank account and debit card. Have to contact Hastings to find out what the issue is.

Tried a number of times to pay for my car insurance and was unable to every time. I get to the very final stage to submit payment and all I see is two ticks we're just loading the page and then times out. This has left me with no insurance and I am disgusted and annoyed as I am a disabled driver and need my car which I don't have. Insurance is expensive enough without having to pay even more. I hate doing things online and this reminds me why.

STAY AWAY FROM HASTINGS DIRECT!!!!! Where to even start…. They’re overpriced and cancel on you for the littlest issues for example they wanted further information off me 9 months in to my existing policy, this should have been sorted first day let alone 9 months in! When I took the policy out they assure me that there would be calls and texts, Also post to get in touch under any changes… the only email I got to make me aware was 2 weeks prior to the cancellation this was allocated to my junk!!!! Who reads junk??? Absolute joke and then I ring the company and ask them why they cancelled me they tell me, the team who deals with it don’t work weekends!!! And I have a charge of £71 for cancellation fees!!! We carnt help you I got! Luckily I realised this when the further email come through on the cancellation day that I was cancelled but this could have been so much worse!!! Stay away honestly they’re a joke!!!
