Having extended my policy to cover a replacement car, it took it to it's natural end date. Having then received numerous e-mail communications telling me that my old vehicle car would be renewed on 16th Jan 2026. beacause fo this I contacted Hastings by phone to put the matter right and renewed my Hastings policy there and then and paid for the new ploicy for the next year commencing 16th Jan. I have had constant e-mails informing me that my ploicy will be renewed automatically on the 16th whic I have ignored because I thought evey thing had been taken care of. Today I received yet another e-mail telling me money will be taken to renew a policy I have already paid for. I have no confidence that every thing is going to be alright so I spent 30 minutes trying to contact on line and by phone, anotherpart fo My life I will never get back. For something that should be so simple it has caused stress and severe frustration an I have no confidence it is all over yet. When I view my account online I see I have two policies on the same and payment about to be taken. Is ther no end to the gross incompetence that exists within Hastings. The next 48 hours will determine if I cancel the policy and cease all business with the company

My policy was due to expire at midnight on December 30th so I used a comparison website (as usual) to obtain the best like for like quote. My existing policy demended another £100 increase despite my having made no claim and circumstances unchanged hence I contacted hastings. They/you quickly confirmed your quoatation and I paid on line for thr comprehensive policy to come into effect at 12.01 December 31st. I saved the policy details to my PC and you quickly provided the documents by post as requested. So far I have been entirely satisfied with your service.

When I purchased the insurance I was not aware that i had to use a gadget connected to my phone or the insurance would be cancelled, something that I did not want to do. When I downloaded the essential app it refused to respond but simply frose. So I cancelled

Quick and easy to set up car insurance. All information outlined in Hastings app. including option to contact them if necessary whether for further information or to make changes and any claim procedures. My car insurance was much less than my renewal and any other quote that I was provided with.
