“When you need there help they ignore you and they put lots of stress on you change if your account with no warning charging you without letting you know , definitely no communication or customer service”

“Home Insurance Promises a 24 Hour claim line. It is Saturday, we have a whole in our conservatory roof and there is nobody to progress a claim (Answering service says the team doesn't work weekends!). Have to wait 2 working days for a call back (meaning 4 as it is Saturday). I have advised that their inaction may lead to a greater claim as tere may now be water damage as well, should it rain.”
Hello Jon, I'm sorry to read about the damage to your home and that you were unable to reach the underwriters to report your claim. As this is a home policy, they would deal with the claim directly, rather than ourselves. I hope that you have since been able to do this and repairs can be made to your home soon. ~Theo

Was helped by Oscar Nkosi who is a good man and went out of his way to find a better deal for me during the renewal process even after we had already discussed price comparisons with competitors. Keep up the good work!”

“Absolutley disgusting service. Went online ticked the box so my policy doesnt renew. They then proceded to take another months pay, start a new policy and then when i stop the direct debit contact me saying i owe then £60 to cancel. And if i dont show proof that i have sold my bike...(what that has to do with them i dont no?) They will get a debt agency to my house. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY THIEFS!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!”
Hello, I'm sorry to read about the experience you've had. Please note that the auto-renewal can only be prevented online during the first 11 months of the policy. If done after that time, this needs to be arranged in the call centre. Showing proof that the bike is sold will allow the relevant department to cancel the policy from a past date. I'm afraid they are unable to arrange this for you without that proof. ~Theo

“Trying to get to a list of my documents - as it says i can - but all it does is go round in a loop - whoever wrote or tested the app was having a bad day when they said this was working well. it's total rubbish.”

“After receiving an extortionate renewal quote from my insurer (Admiral), which seemed to have NO BASIS for the imposition of a nearly 80% increase for a car I only drive 1,500 miles per year!! After speaking to them to see if I could get a more reasonable quote, I was only offered a 13% reduction. Leaving me still with a 55%+ increase. I had been expecting to pay up to 20% more, in line with the average market increase, but not this much.
I wanted to stick with a reputable insurer, so via Comparethemarket, I ended up online with Hastings Direct as their quote seemed very reasonable. The information was very easy to complete and a final quote was received very quickly. My final premium for the year showed a 12% increase, which I was very happy to accept.”

“Don't put up your prices to a proven customer then offer cheaper prices if you cancel old account and open new account with the same company for less otherwise your fine as company”
“they missell their product and charge an extortionate amount as admin fee. I took a policy out and apprently clicked on youdrive. with out it the insurance will be over £900. i recieved a youdrive the day after the insurance started and told them i did ot want youdrive and therefore they cancelled and charged £40 admin.
i strongly advise all. not to use Hastings Direct”
Hello, I'm sorry to read about this. Hastings Direct does disclose that there is a telematics tab involved in the
Youdrive policy before it was purchased online or on the phone. I'm sorry if this information wasn't seen and has caused so this issue as a result. ~Theo
