I would like to say a big thank-you to Angela at the claims department team. She was supportive and caring regarding a stressful and worrying time I am going through at the moment. I had been involved in a hit and run road collision ten weeks previously. Angela took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them in a very considerate and appropriate manner. I renewed my policy with you direct. Miss cancelling my policy with peoples choice then you charge £20 for it. You were paid 06 April 2023 and then took more today. I will not use Hastings or Peoples Choices again.

the worst insurance company I've ever had, they pretend that they didn't receive the car valuation, they cheat in the e-mail after the phone, also a different answer, embarrassing DONT CHOICE HASTING

What a shambles of a company Cancel my daughters insurance with out her even knowing. Until she telephoned to inquire about why her black box hadn’t arrived. She just passed her test so this could have ended badly if anything had happened. 3 weeks on no black box we explained to agent on phone my daughter had her mobile stolen so wasn’t able to check any messages. But didn’t give a dam . Before you even reply to this review don’t waste your time. Absolutely disgusting customer service Glad I’m with a Direct line service 100%

I had an accident which I was not at fault, I had no help what so ever constantly chasing to find out where the hired car is as my policy says I should get a courtesy car. 1 week later still without a hired car. Giving me loads of different numbers to call as doesn’t seem like Hastings actually deal with it! I’ve now had to go through the third parties insurance myself and deal with the claim.

I'm 47 years old, I only use my bike for commuting, I've never been in an accident, I've never filed a claim, I have a month left to renew my policy and this morning I received an email saying my policy was cancelled, and no one gave a reason as to why.

I went through Go Compare to obtain a quote and went with Hastings Direct as it is a reputable company although it was not the lowest quotation obtained.

One of the worse company when it comes to dealing with accidents and repairing your car. I had an accident nearly 6 months ago and still waiting my claim to be settled after car has been written off by the repairer company. Tried calling numerous times no definitive answers from anyone. Would never recommend to use Hasting Direct to anyone.

tried to add a temporary driver for 1 day to our policy and was told that hastings would not do this. upon asking for a reason i was told by the agent that they would not tell her. for lack of transparency on something so simple i am concerned if actually have to make a claim. complaints procedure told me that this was because it was an australian licence. i have personally added temp drivers to a policy before and numerous people iasked the same. all with international licences. strange not very impressed with the complaints experience even though never expected anything other than the reason. obfuscation and the email received from her glosses over the issue. she gets a 1*

I'm afraid that not all underwriters are willing to accept the perceived risk and I can appreciate the frustration this can cause. Absolutely useless company no customer service no idea what they are doing because they don't do anything never ever go with this company you insured it to protect it so go with a reputable company read the online reviews not on Hastings fake site they are the worst company u can pick might be cheap because they are useless save your money and buy a chocolate teapot it has more use.

My car was stolen on 1st Jan 23 and recovered by the police at the end of the month. 10 weeks later they still cannot get it even allocated to a garage for repair. This is despite 24 calls, a formal complaint, a letter to their Chairman and a Financial Ombudsmen complaint and many, many emails. The company is completely unable to mend a car. Dealing them has been genuinely more stressful and time consuming that having our car stolen in the first place. DO NOT USE.
