“Appalling service, call centre in India and will not put you through to anyone in this country. Rang to cancel my policy and was told of a £75 cancellation fee, then a £50 fee the 18% for something else then another fee. So I asked them to quote on my second car and told them I had 11 years no claims to add onto the policy she kept saying I don’t want to hear about your no claims, so then came back with an extra premium of £900. Ended up hanging up on them they are so rude. Went on the online portal and looked and changing the original car from a 5 series bmw to a vw up and it came back with a price of no additional premium so they won’t even reduce your payments if you down grade your car”

“I would leave a zero star if possible! Cancelled car insurance after a month and was charged £258 cancellation fees which is absolutely disgusting. They couldn’t tell me what the fees were for as the cancellation department send them the fees so I asked to speak to the cancellation department and they won’t allow calls to them so I haven’t a clue what the £258 is for! Asked for a quote on my new car and they couldn’t give me a quote Just said pay them £304 plus admin charges and change over charges on top of my current insurance and they would change the car over, when I asked how much the whole insurance would be for the year I was told I can’t be told the amount I would just have to add the hundreds extra on top or cancel my insurance and pay £258 cancellation then take out a new policy with them to get a yearly price they are a complete joke. They are cheap for a reason and I wish I would’ve read the reviews on here first before I used them.”

“Worst worst worst company I've have ever been with. Terrible customer service. Departments are all 1 number then you are holding for a lifetime while being transferred! Over three weeks without a car and I'm being told they have other customers and they will get to my claim when they can.

“My partner has his car insured with Go Skippy and he wanted me to be added to his policy. We tried to do this online and it came up 3 times to ring this number ..... after speaking to them 3 times we were told to keep trying! After 49 minutes of trying we spoke with them yet again.
The lady informed us that it was to do with our “relationship status” hence why it wouldn’t give us a quote to add me!!! She changed it from partner to spouse and she still couldn’t add me due to our relationship status!!!
This is discrimination and we will be taking this further as we have approached other insurance companies and they have never heard of this whatsoever... we told her we will be looking elsewhere to be told it’s a £75 termination fee, we didn’t want to terminate just add a driver which you won’t do due to our “relationship status”.

“My insurance ended December 2018 with Goskippy, I was invited to renew my insurance via a very misleading email which was in my junk folder, it was a reminder my renewal was due and the instructions were to call them if I wanted to renew my policy. The quote they provided had increased, so naturally I decided to shop elsewhere.
Apparently I should have rung them to cancel the automatic renewal policy, something that they NEVER mentioned in the email, nor did it say if I failed to make contact that a payment would be taken.
I cancelled the direct debit connection with Goskippy straight after the last payment was taken in the November 2018. Then out of the blue on the 1st of February this year, they setup and took a direct debit out of my bank account, this was done without my knowledge or consent, an act I consider as THEFT and FRAUD.
I rang them immediately, and was told that they were currently recieving a high number of calls, and that somebody will call me back within an hour. I've given up waiting for that call back, it's been well over a week and I'm still waiting...
I emailed them, over a week later I was asked to prove I was covered by my current provider which I sent photos of the new policy agreement.
A decision was made that the policy they took out on my behalf has been cancelled, but the refund I am owed is to the value £0.00.
I am left £75 out of pocket for a policy I never wanted, knew about or authorise any payments for, why would I want to pay duplicated payments for two seperate policies for the same vehicle!?
I would not recommend these crooks to anyone. Be very wary of use these crooks!”

“I called today on behalf of my son to settle his cancellation charges. The advisor wanted to know information about me even though I had given her all the relevant information about the policy. When I refused she stated I had to give her this under new GDPR regulations- load of rubbish so I challenged this and insisted to speak to her supervisor or manager who in turn refused to speak to me as I refused to give her my information. By law they do not need this, she claimed she would speak to her manager and left me on hold I think she thought I would put the phone down as she sounded surprised when she returned and I was still there nearly 5 mins later. After being insistent that she did not need my information she then went away ago only returning stating she had spoken to quality and she could accept my payment WITHOUT my information. I would suggest that they check the legal information on GDPR and get it right before they start quoting incorrect information. I informed her that if the company choose to escalate the non payment do do so as I wasn’t refusing to pay they were making it difficult!! ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Would never use this company they need to get facts right!!”

“Absolutely appalling company. I made a claim on my policy start September 2018(tail ended a car as the young man slammed on his breaks on a 60mph stretch). My car was in People's Garage Falkirk for over 3 months. I collected car and had to drive straight back as car was clunking and smell of gas. Go Skippy /Eldon/Watford Insurance /Aaron Banks whatever you want to call them sent out Northern Assessors. They concluded that the Transfer Box was faulty through wear and tear and not part of the accident. My car run perfectly before the accident and the Transfer Box is the 4 wheel drive. My car was removed from Peoples Falkirk on a recovery vehicle and I had a Gearbox Specialist look at Transfer Box which he stripped down. He wrote a report stating that the Transfer Box could have indeed been damaged in the accident.I forward all findings and he also asked me how Northern Assessors could have came to any conclusion as the Transfer Box would have needed to be stripped down to say either way,the Transfer Box was intact when sent to the Specialist. Northern Assessors yet again looked at the report from Gearbox Specialist and came back with the assumption that lack of oil caused the failure. This was not the case as there was sufficient oil in it. Theresa from Eldon one of the managers is an expert at evading phones calls and communication. She messes you around and makes false promises.Their customer service skills are shocking.Theresa said that because there is no photographic evidence to prove there was sufficient oil that they were agreeing with the clown from Northern Assessors (Kenneth). I asked Theresa if she had photographic evident from Northern Assessors to prove lack of oil and she never responded. All this is in the hands of The Financial Ombudsman and I hope they see this company for what they are!.I am almost 2.5k out of pocket for something that should have been covered under my insurance. I tail ended someone doing 60mph and slammed my breaks on a country road. Of course the 4 wheel drive could have been damaged during the impact and sudden stopping!. This company is a shambles and pay WNS to be there middle man during the claim process,i have had massive phone bills trying to sort out all this and I'm still not further forward. I still have electronic issues, my parking assist is faulty, traction control faulty, People's Falkirk who are a body repair specialist replaced the bottom grill and it is a total different colour from the top it's an absolute disgrace. STAY WELL CLEAR YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I WILL BE POSTING THIS EVERYWHERE AS NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS THIS IS WHY YOU PAY FOR INSURANCE THE LEAST I EXPECTED WAS THIS GRIEF.”

“Purchased a policy from goskippy as they were the cheapest insurance company when it came to my renewal. Everything was nice and smooth. However, I went into their website and tried to change my address. It advised me to contact customer service. So I did. Got all the way to them taking £35 for change of address, and when trying to make payment was told that I couldn’t because I was using an iPhone! I’ve never heard of anything so stupid! Was told that I had to ‘borrow a different phone’ within 7 days or they would cancel my policy. Got me over a barrel because I have 6 months of my policy left. Was expecting to pay a fee to change address, but not having my policy cancelled because I use an iPhone!”

They done my policy set it up for £145 then had the cheek to cancel because "I missed something off" which I told them about! After being insured for 14 days it was cancelled leaving me with roughly £80 left, but GOingtorobyouSKIPPY charge £70 so send you your money back so I just let them keep it to save the hassle. A week later they send an email telling me I owe £108 in arrears hahaha! Keep away people”

“I took out a policy with them as they were the cheapest on Gocompare price comparison website. However, as my mother always said cheap is dear. Within 24 hours I had cancelled the policy due to the dreadful customer care (or rather lack of) I received when I tried to call GoSkippy to make a minor amendment on the policy - the call handler ended up hanging up on me. If thats how they treat their customers when trying to deal with a minor policy amendment, god only knows what they are like when you have to make a claim.”
