“Wish a could do no stars, since starting this policy i changed car due to a problem with the first one I was hit with £50 admin charge and £8 more on vehicles change.
I then got a letter via email telling me that I didn't report an accident I had that I claimed on my insurance of non fault.
I wasn't aware of having to tell of accidents that wasn't my fault that was claimed on someone else's insurance (not my falut)
So again they want to charge me £50 amendment fee and an extra £140 on top of the £50 for not telling them this is shocking so 8 days in to £400 policy it's cost me almost £700 and everything I call they take 40 mins to answer and are not open at all at weekend shocking service will never use again”
“Completely messed me up. I had an accident where I was not at fault so I simply informed them and made it clear that I did not want to make a claim. They went ahead and put a claim on my account anyway meaning that any quotes for a new vehicle were astronomically high and that I would not get a refund if I cancelled my policy because I had made a claim. After that I called and got written confirmation from the claims dept that said I had not made a claim but I had to continuously call the customer service switchboard for over 3 hours until they put me through to someone that could help me. Would not recommend under any circumstance.”
“had insurance with sister company FOOTPRINT for a van tried to change policey to a car after a number of phone call lasting more than 1 hour over the course of a week have given up. DONT BOTHER wasting your time. Had online quote of £315 when i spoke to them they wanted £390 we resolved that but still totally useless”
“One of the worst companies I have ever insured my car with! I was pressured into taking out optional extras when I bought my policy, the advisor even became aggressive and more or less shouted at me . I've been driving for over eight years and have a clean licence yet they ramped my monthly payments up to £135! I recently used a comparison site and Go SHi**y quoted me £240 for the whole year but when I called, they refused to do anything about it. Asked the advisor if they could at least bring my monthly payments down a bit but they refused point blank. The advisor pretended to consult her manager about it, put me on hold for approximately 6 seconds then came back on the phone saying her manager said there's nothing they can do. She could have at least had the sense to put me on hold for a bit longer, to make me actually think she spoke to her manager. These are the kind of dummies we are dealing with. Worst customer service I've ever received. Thank the Lord I've only got 3 payments left with these idiots. Avoid them if you can.”
“I am the MD of a small 'sign manufacturing' company with a fleet of ten vehicles. Thank the Lord Almighty we have only insured one with these clowns. No point in going into detail as to why our experience of this company has been the worst I have EVER encountered. However, in all the years as a business man and company owner well versed in being able to deal with stressful situations of all kinds, Go Skippy has to be the worst by a country mile.

“Avoid at all costs. They cancel a policy that's fully paid for the year witout warning and leave you drive uninsured. Customer service aren't helpful either. Told me i had to buy a new policy to be insured again, bearing in mind iv still got 5 months left on my policy that's fully paid. They have been a nuisance from the start. Further action with the ombudsman has been taken. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!”
“Trying to cancel insurance within 14 days. That wait 21 so I can't get my money back. Try to resolve on premium phone line and after being on hold for 50 mins they cut me off. Avoid at all costs. They may be cheap but there is a good reason. Pay extra for a reputable company”

“Messed about for 3 hours on phone been passed about to 15 diffrent advisors put on hold for over a hour . They cancelled my insurance after not taking payment from account when money was in account. Then told me I had to get new policy after I paid over phone on my card so I asked them for new policy and was told someone would call me back with in 30 minutes and 2 days later and countless calls made to them still no car insurance or call back. This company is a absolute joke and should not be allowed to trade as not one of their advisors knew how to deal with customers at all.”
“What a joke. We went through compare the market as my husband has just passed his test and it was a resonable amount. So we agreed to pay 190 deposit, they then took out more and put up the monthly payments. Phoned them, they kept blaming creation. I spoke with them after being passed over from one to another an hour later got no where. Told them I wanted to cancel, I needed to email them as they don't have a complaints number, what a joke. When I was on the phone it kept going quite all the time. Customer service, who a joke, they didn't even know what they were on about and made there own up. I have been driving 11 years and not once have I ever come up against this.”
“Transferred my insurance onto a new car over the phone, they advised me of a fee and said that a letter would be sent out confirming the fee. 10 days later and no letter but surprised to say the least I get a text message saying your insurance has been cancelled. I called them and after 15mins no resolution was made apart from them saying take a new policy out.
to everyone please do not take out insurance with this company as they do not post letters let alone send email's. they are very poor at what they do and will rip you off”
“Avoid at all costs cancelled my Inshurance paid the cancellation fee and then they still have cheek to send fake and false solicitors letters for money that is owed it's a good.job I've got it on my bank account to verify I have paid this wankers they are wouldn't recommend or touch u company every again ps as for your fake court letters u can shove them where the sun doesn't shine”
“Absoloutly appalling service with this car insurance company, far too over priced for the rubbish they have to offer. Tried to cancel my policy for days now and every time I go to cancel they are experiencing 'difficulties'. A ridiculous company to ever go with and especially for being a first time driver for a first Experiance with insurance companies. Would 100% advise to STAY CLEAR of go skippy.”
