“DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. They automcatically renewed my insurance after my first year without consent, which was already a red flag, but i wasnt keeping my car so i left it. Then when i rang up to cancel my insurance, the quoted me a 75 pound charge, which is high but i admit i did leave it late (within two weeks is 75). Got an email today saying I owe them 180 pound to cancel it, the bill stacked with numerous nonsense fees for things on the insurance i had never used ( i never had to put any claims in). Its an absolute scam and I urge any young drivers not to use this company, as it may seem good having cheap insurance without any telematics, but the reason it is cheap is beacuse they con you out of money in other areas. Judging by the reviews it seems theyve drastically gone downhill, so i highly recommend going elsewhere”

“Pathetic company ive been with them for a year ready to renew and it was quoted at £220 when i called it changed to £400 because i paid monthly they said since ive been with them.a year and never missed a payment theres a £200 charge...not english speaking people theyll hang up on you and be very cheeky and rude with you over the phone...it felt more like a scam than anything. “If I could rate 0 stars I would. So far after paying out more than I paid for the car for the policy, I’m told I can’t claim for just damage done to my windscreen using the windscreen cover I’m paying for as it was ‘malicious’ damage. I instead have to make a full claim on the policy with full excess costs and have it follow me round for 5 years putting up the cost of my future insurance policies and loosing my no claims bonus.
What an Earth am I paying for if they won’t even cover a simple windscreen replacement on the windscreen cover policy.
If I didn’t have to have car insurance by law I would be leaving go skippy immediately. Instead I’m stuck with them for another 6 months!

“what a joke... they offered me a renewal price of £970, I checked online and found prices around £500 so (wanting to stay with GoSkippy) I sent them my quotations from online and just asked if they could do better. They replied asking me to ring... a cop out.
Then when I said I couldn't as I literally work at an insurance broker that opens exactly the same times as them, so I'm unable to call, so they replied and said then this was their best rate...
I know for a fact they can lower their premiums and I cannot believe how easily they let their customers go?! no trying to compete, no convincing me... honestly their retained business must be awful

I am told that I could have been given a time to register my new vehicle with them after i lost my first car in an incident .
I was told that they will let me know what is my current situation, go on with them or cancel my policy ? It was 14 th August.
11 days i am still waiting for them to give me an answer.
The problem is the most disrespectful attitude. Since 14 th of August I am waiting for them To return my calls and emails- i have lost counting. No answer for emails, and every time when I call they say that they are so sory and shortly they will call back. But ofcourse no call whatsoever!!”
“Typical cheap insurance company, screw you for as much money as they can.
Said I hadn't disclosed a speeding conviction so charged an additional premium of £8.33 plus an "admin" fee of £30. Sent new certificate acknowledging the SP50 then about 2 weeks later said we're cancelling your insurance in 7 days as you are too much of a risk !!! after they took my money !
So I decided to cancel insurance myself before them, charged me another "admin" fee of £75 to do this ! Insurance policy only cost £73 to start with !
Service operators can't string two words together, took me three calls to explain what I wanted.
Still waiting four hours later for a confirmation of cancellation !

“I phoned them and spent ages going round the bushes as they want me to me to Rennes my insurance there and then. I told them I will wait until I get a final reminder. Low and behold I got an email today saying “ thanks for renewing your insurance”... I did not renew !! And they claim to have received rewards for fantastic customer service!!! God help us if this is state of our insurance sales people. I just don’t know what to do with them”

“Firstly my quote was £560 for the year it went up to £720 and then just before I finished agreeing terms it went up again to £770 for a 30 year old with 2 years no claim bonus and previously have paid £4000 pound for 2 years insurance why my car is worth £800 this is a joke and will be my last year with the company .”

“Where to start? Dirt cheap but good luck making a claim - took 10 weeks to settle a claim for theft then tried to charge £60 to change the bike on the policy despite it being same model and year. Got that reduced to £30 on complaint.
Then they tried to auto renew at 15 x the original policy fee - over £5000 for a 125cc - renewed elsewhere for 1.5 x pre theft price, total bandits.
One star as I did eventually get the money, took a lot of moaning tho, also every phone call tells me I can change details online - not for motorbikes though!”
“Customer services need work on how to communicate with there customers, I’ve phone 4-5 time and everyone of them sound that they ain’t interested in there job or your change in policy, just bluntly rude, mutters during the call so it’s hard to work out what he/she is actually trying to say, hate to think how your actually treated if you do have to make a claim”
“Started off all well and good, was with this company 4 years.. every single year my price increased. On a brand new car, with more safety features, lower engine size, less power etc.. my insurance went up over 200%.
Hidden fees everywhere.
Would I use these again? Absolutely not”
