“Complete Shambles and con! Monthly premiums paid. Motorbike was stolen (not our fault, it was secured) then numerous calls and nothing resolved. Bike was recovered, took them over a week to collect it. Written off. Just received a cheque after 4 weeks with no breakdown on the front. Paid just under £1800 for a brand new Sinnis Stealth 125, they gave us £1500. They deduced excess of £150 plus the voluntary which most other providers do not deduct. They have also deducted £50 for god knows what reason and despite telling us we would have to pay up our premiums and they will be deducted from the cheque, they did not and have now told us we need to pay for that. Completely disgusted with this company and it will be going to the Financial Ombudsman as the bike was only 5 months old and I have never been treated like this. Avoid like the plague, do not touch. I am putting this on twitter and facebook. This company is not all it seems.”

“I called on the 27th February to cancel my policy, after buying a new car and receiving a better quote. I was told the policy had been cancelled and received, what I assumed to be cancellation documentation. I cancelled the direct debit and thought no more about it until I received a letter from the finance company stating that I had missed a payment due to cancelled DD and that a £25 administration had been added to the account. I telephoned immediately to explaining had cancelled the policy to be told that Go Skippy hadn't informed them. I was put through to Go Skippy where I eventually was told the policy was 'on hold'. After much holding I was advised the person I'd spoken to originally was wrong and would be dealt with. I then received an email from Go Skippy confirming the debt of £63! After being on hold again for ages my call was 'lost'. I then emailed explaining the problem. Today I have recieved an email confirming my policy has now been cancelled. Hooray, I thought until I received yet another email stating I still owe the £63 and if it isn't paid within 21 days they will send the balance to a debt collector! Stay away from this company if you value your sanity.”

“I got insured in december 2016 my premiums were 178 pound per month i paid a 481 pound deposit, i had a bump and thats when it all stared, i was being told due to my employment history (being employed at the time of taking the insurance out) then not being employed at the time of the incident i might not be covered unless i can supply evidence. I was then sent a letter saying i had to supply evidence within 7 days or i may be liable for any costs. I decided as i have been making payments and paid a large deposit i may be better cutting my losses and cancelling my insurance before they cancel it after my next payment is due i have read reviews where they have done this to many other people) so i cancelled yesterday then i was told that i have to pay 1248 which will be outstanding. I have requested a detailed explanation of how this is possible when i paid such a large deposit i have sent numerous emails but had nothing back to be completely honest i think its a scam of a company and have been advised to contact the ombudsman which i am going to do as i think that they are basically trying to rip you off anyway they can. The communication is disgraceful the people who you speak to are brash and rude and i think the company is a shambles i am extremely disappointed and will go with a recognized and kosher company in future.”

“although they were the cheapest to take out the policy. we sold our car after 2.5 months of starting the policy so decided to cancel the insurance, we only recieved just over half the premium back once they had taken 100 pound in admin costs!

“Made a Claim as i had my bike stolen back in the new year, 2 months later receive a letter saying i can put my new vehicle on my old policy to save abit of money on taking out a new policy. Ring Go Skippy and they say i cant do this as i have changed my occupation and i should of told them that i changed my job, so i cant put my new vehicle on my old policy when they sent a letter out saying i could? “Used the company for 7 days they then came with a £350 price increase which i didnt accept. They charged me another month and not giving my money back.
They basically just stole my money. I would appreciate if we can do anything about it. So many bad reviews how they can still be operating is beyond my comprehension. AVOID AT ALL COSTS”
“I bought a policy for a fair price. I compare the markets often when buying insurance and found this to be one of the cheaper but with the coverage I wanted. Six months on my car has died and I need to change the vehicle in my policy. I have gone from a £22K BMW M sport X4 to a £12k mini paceman 1.6 diesel... Big drop but fuel economy was a factor. Now would I have been registered to expect a drop in premium or at least stay the same... Surely not a huge assumption. Well I find myself looking at a £61 premium increase coupled with a £50 administration charge.... This company is an absolute joke. Do NOT use.”
“Tried for 5 days to change my policy to include business use and and additional 5000 miles per year. 4 hours on hold over 3 different occasions, promises of callbacks not returned. Day 5 got a call back from sales team, seemingly they could only quote me for another year, they couldn't just change my policy for the remainder of the term. Policy cancelled. “Are obviously a bunch of scam artists. I own 2 homes and have tried changing my address on my policy- there admin fee near on £200 for a change of address!!!! Of course they said the risk has gone up. It is a third party policy. I obviously refused and have kept my address as the first address. Now they are trying their hardest to cancel or amend my policy. Of course this would earn them fees. CROOKS!!!!!!!!!! I think this company should be investigated for bad practices. I.E the requirement for treating customers fairly.

“After taking insurance early this week for commencement on 19/3/2017 of which premium was taken immediately the constant bombardment of e mails asking for documents despite having e mailed them three times and spoken on phone to supervisor and paid extra premium - still getting e mails asking for NCB proof despite having sent this and threat of admin charges or policy cancellation - I have been so upset and am also away on residential course which makes it difficult to reply to e mails I have authorised my mother to receive and send replies on my behalf, but it seems that this is now suspicious to you as she sent e mails from her e mail address - I really do not know what to do to sort out this complete mess, and I will be contacting the insurance ombudsman”
“Don't go with these guys - absolutely ridiculous service. Telephone customer service is very poor, and unhelpful – they all say different things. I had to send them 3 different letters from my previous insurers to confirm no claims. They tried to charge me extra for, informing them an outstanding claim, has been resolved at non-fault - therefore, improving my status - they said this is a change in circumstance and now i need to pay extra premiums. This is the worst company ever. Please do not go with them.”
