“Been very helpful as just started driving had a problem with the first car. Phoned up and transferred my insurance over to a different car with no issues.”
“I used go compare site and go skippy was cheapest. I looked in advance of due date and had to enter an earlier date than I needed . Nearer the due date I edited my information to show date I needed my insurance from. The site was easy to navigate. I looked at the reviews which were good. I have been driving 43 years with 1 accident. Hopefully I will never need to claim again. You can only really see if your insurer is good if you need to make a claim.”
“I wanted to cancel my car insurance policy with Go Skippy as I was taking out a new policy. I phoned up to cancel my policy as I was taking out a new policy with GoSkippy. The women on the phone didn’t go through the cancellation fees which totalled £161 before she cancelled my policy. I then asked what fees there would be at which time she struggled to tell me how much the fees would total so I effectively had to work them out myself. After working this out I decided these fees were too high and I didn’t want to cancel my policy. She then told me it was too late I had to pay the fees as she had already cancelled it.
Very misleading, I will be taking this further to the financial ombudsman if necessary as I think this is an unfair practice. I believe this may have broken FCA Rules – ICOBS 6.1.5R & ICOBS 2.5.1R.”
