“I sold my car shortly afterwards so I contacted goskippy thay told me I had to can cell my insurance on line which was so hard to find that I just gave up in the end will never go with them a gen there s##t I should have just stated with who I was with”
“I would not get car insurance with GoSkippy again! The customer service representatives were very misleading and arrogant. One representative said one thing and the other said another.”
“Terrible service - regularly unable to answer queries and system failures blamed.
I moved house and updated my policy - 6 months later I was made aware by a 3rd party the policy had not been updated.
Subsequently assured on 3 separate occasions the policy had been updated but when I contact the provider their records have not been updated.
Technically my insurance is invalid and despite trying for 3 months so far, they have still to updated the policy”
“Fully comprehensive Doesn't cover to drive a different car on a 3rd party and it doesn't say it till u actually buy it, was the cheapest I could find but for an extra £50 I could get one covering the 3rd party , never seen a fully comprehensive insurance till now who doesn't cover driving a insured cas as a 3rd party.”
“Was told it wasn't in my best interest to go with a cheaper company. And when I asked for my no claims discount they didn't really give a shlt to be honest.”
“Skip over this company. Don't be fooled by the cheap insurance premium. What you don't pay in premium, you'll pay in stress and frustration.
Came to the company via he comparison website, Comparethemarket.com, where I provided my details including a SP30 conviction and was a bit surprised when they asked me to send copies of driving license, convictions, non-claims bonus and info from DVLA for myself and my wife after payment (none of the insurance companies I've dealt with over the past 6 years ever asked for these, save the NCB).
Next, I got an email advising me of an additional charge of £114 due to an 'undisclosed conviction'. I disputed this and inspite of sending a screenshot of the details I provided to the comparison website, and a screen shot of my DVLA convictions page, the company still insisted I had to pay the additional charge.
I became gravely concerned and disputed the so called undisclosed conviction which the company seemed to have fabricated in several email exchanges with at least 3-5 customer service advisers but the company maintained their stance that if I'd disclosed the conviction at the start, there would've been no extra charge.
It was not until I'd spent another 30 minutes over the phone with them, did they investigate and claimed I'd indicated a different date for my conviction, that was why they assumed I had failed to disclose a second conviction (despite sending them a screenshot of my DVLA convictions page!)
Needless to say, I didn't feel comfortable staying with a company that would fabricate issues to get additional monies off me and figured they were one of those companies that would do everything possible to reject a valid claim in order to minimise payout. So I requested for the insurance to be cancelled. Was charged £75 cancellation fee and another £130 brokers fee (with the usual, "its stated in your agreement").
To make matters worse, the company said the refund of £208 (out of £430 - in less than 4 weeks!) would 'wherever possible' be sent via the method of payment, otherwise, a cheque would be sent in 28 days.
I am still awaiting my refund.”
“Disappointed with my policy I've been driving since I was 17 I am now 52 and cannot believe I cannot drive another vehicle with my policy very poor I think I will be cancelling when due for renewal”
“Be very very aware when you cancel your policy, cancellation fees fair enough. Hidden fees that are hidden in the contract they'll try get you on. A £75 cancellation fee turned out to be over £250”
“Very poor customer service had to call 3 times with over a 30-min wait each time just to change my email address with the language barrier been a issue.

“Sir/madem.
I got fully comprehensive policy since 1987.with go Skippy for the first time fully comprehensive policy you can't drive others people insured vehicle's. It's very strange. I will be leaving go Skippy for this reason and the other reason if you change over they charge you 25 pounds
Kind regards
MAK”
“I was passed through 3 different departments to take out an insurance quote. And finally when I did get to speak to the right department the advisor was in a great hurry and rushed through the call.”
“insurance quote was good, enjoyed being with them was quick to insure, but then when i tried to cancel my policy i was on hold for over an hour and a half while waiting for someone to pick up..”
