Online chat is good, I didn’t have to wait long for a agent to help me. However I always seem to have problems with the app. It doesn’t track most of my journeys

live chat is a poor way of communication No evidence of conversion unless you screen shot it yourself Used telephone too and still got a letter threatening to cancel insurance Policy is reasonably priced Which is good when first time driver

average price could be cheaper, get marked down on your usage a lot and that’s in fair when you need to go to work and live

Feel bullied when they want things done threatening to cancel your policy within a wèek even though sometimes its their system that has lost documents..... not a very good approach to customer service.....

Good price and helpful that everything is done electronically. However, app never works, had millions of issues with this.

It's an affordable option for drivers - I've just re-insured with Carrot for a second year in spite of difficulties with the app working last year which was a headache to sort out. Setting up the app this time has been a pain once again - the app has requested photos of my car etc. several times now and I'm unable to screenshot the driving license info on the DVLA website through the app. This is the only insurance policy I have been asked to do this for, which I found odd. The app itself drains your battery fast so watch out, as you have to have it charged and Bluetooth enabled to record your journeys! The Wingman is also very sensitive - I sometimes get poorer scores when driving in areas with speed bumps (unavoidable) and the number of potholes obviously lowers your score. Speaking to the advisers via Live Chat is straightforward but I do believe there should be the opportunity to phone up for general queries. Hint: when it came to renewal, I put my info through a comparison website and got a cheaper quote than my renewal quote, so it's worth looking at your options again but Carrot was a mile cheaper in comparison to others.

It’s an affordable insurance but the app really is not great. The new chat service however is a massive improvement on the email customer service that was in place previously.

I found setting up my better journey app easy but there have been complications since setting it up. It stopped recording my journeys and it took several attempts to get it working again which caused me frustration. I like talking to people on the phone so the online chat isn’t great for me. However the online chat is quick and easy to use and I get an adviser pretty quick. I wish they had a black box that went into your car instead of the Bluetooth and app, would be so much better and efficient. Other than that it’s not bad value for money.

Good prices. However always struggle with the app, so I don’t rate the app. Also can’t speak to anyone on the phone on an online chat.

We are new to carrot as of 2 months ago we found the price very good however struggle with it being all online would much prefer to have a contact number we have also been waiting and are still waiting for our app to be set up as we can not log on

Customer service is good in terms of the online chat system. Price was cheapest for me (because it’s essentially a black box). No experience with delivery, returns and refunds.

Very competitive quote, however trying to contact and provide them with documents is complicated and vague. Never received a certificate of insurance.

Now the app is set up it is easy to use. However, to begin with my password did not work and as I purchased the insurance on a Saturday evening, I was not able to contact anyone for help until the Monday morning as the customer support live chat closes at 1pm on Saturdays and does not reopen until 9am on Monday. It would be helpful if there was some opening times on Sundays too, perhaps 9-1pm like the Saturday

It's really frustrating that you can't just call someone, I ended up going round and round in circles answering questions then the conversation timing out due to a busy life. When I finally got it sorted it was easy to change car details but frustrating there's a charge to change anything like if you have a new house and car.
