“Just finished the 25 day tour of Thailand with tour guide Sonny - all was highly organised but still allowed for plenty of freedom and breathing room to make the trip your own. Sonny was an exceptional guide, seamlessly wrangling 11 of us through ferries, 7/11 trips, and a whole group illness. More importantly, Sonny brought the entire group together with humour, warmth and an infectious love of his work. I don’t think there’s a single day he didn’t make all of us laugh and smile while getting us where we needed to be and showing us the sights. Sonny may have called me Happy Girl, but only because he was there keeping us happy.”
“I went on the 25 day Thailand tour with tour guide Sonny.
The tour was meticulously organised, hitting all the countries main attractions whilst allowing a degree of flexibility within the itinerary. For example, I chose to scuba dive on days snorkelling was planned.
My highlight was the jungle-treck in Chiang Mai. The combination of hard work, majestic scenery, refreshing waterfalls and the occasional elephant sighting made the treck a truly awesome experience. The cold beer when we reached the village on the second day is also a highlight contender.
The crowning stroke of this trip was tour guide Sonny. Sonny’s local knowledge immersed us beyond the typical tourist experience. Sonny knew the best spots for authentic street food, when a Mai Thai boxing match was on, what was an appropriate amount to pay a taxi driver or tip a waiter. He even orchestrated a football match between us and the local Koh Samui team! (We lost but no matter)
Sonny was the life and soul of the group, both ensuring we got from A to B safely and on time, and that everyone was in high spirits whilst doing so. He consistently went above and beyond - even after the trip had ended ensuring we were confident and organised in our onward travel.
Thank you Gap 360 for a wonderful trip and thank you Sonny for your endless supply of sea sickness tablets, spoon feeding me wet rice when I was sick and making us all laugh with your bad jokes and even worse pickup lines. I miss it all already!”

“Nylah was a fantastic tour guide, super helpful and kind and a lot of fun to be around. The tril was great but with a few faults in my opinion. I wasn’t a fan of some of the hostels but that was more due to comfort they wasn’t particularly lacking in anything”

The trip was well structured with some fantastic adventure days and also plenty of time to relax in the beautiful surroundings; I also felt very safe and secure under the care of our brilliant tour guide, Sonny, in particular when I was admitted to hospital with an illness. He made my health his priority, frequently making the journey between the hospital and the rest of the group to ensure I was getting the best care so I would
be back on my feet as soon as possible. Sonny was very cheerful and loved getting involved with the group at any opportunity. He was also always on hand to talk if anyone had any concerns and offered his support where necessary. I will miss him!”
