"My site went down and i could not immedaitely see why this had happened. Freethought technical help 'Edward' immediately identified the problem and fixed it. My site was then available. This tech support is speedy, professional and supportive to me as a client and this is invaluable."

"A little over a year ago, I moved to Freethought on the recommendation of a friend and business colleague. Previously I had been with a multi-national company and when an I.T./email/server problem/issue arose, it took days to fix which of course means that you loose business. The idea of moving to an alternative provider sent shivers down my spine (I am a technical Luddite). The transition to Freethought was simple, easy and stress-less due to the professionalism of Freethought (they care!). Freethought are always there to answer any questions, sort out technical issues and most importantly, offer an outstanding service. I trust Freethought implicitly and with that in mind, Freethought allow me to get on with running my company in the confidence and knowledge that Freethought are supporting me. In today's society we are very quick to criticize, yet slow to praise. I have no criticism with Freethought, only praise!"

"Exceptionally competitive products and OUTSTANDINGLY good customer support at the end of a phone line! I cannot rate this company highly enough. The support line number is answered by a knowledgeable, patient human being whose only wish, it seems, is to ensure that your questions are answered and any technical help is provided (typically "don't worry, I'll do it for you and send a link so you can see how to do it"). I needed lots of help setting up a WordPress site from scratch with no WordPress knowledge or experience. I didn't think that companies like this existed any more. And NO, they didn't pay me to write this review :)"

"When our excellent previous server provider TDMweb sold our contract to Freethought, I was wary; however, they chose well. Yes, we have had some issues, but no dynamic server relationship is without issues. Freethought has always resolved everything quickly and professionally, and in a friendly, personal manner. Fully recommended."

"I've been using Freethought for over a year now, and have a number of client accounts with them. Their client area is very easy to navigate and use, and their technical service is excellent. They are usually super responsive and will walk you through technically challenging fixes. Their prices are also very good. "Our site was hacked just before Christmas. Freethought's support over the festive season was simply amazing in helping us get it cleaned and running again. Thanks particularly to Edward who provided such prompt, competent and helpful support. His emails were always clear and articulate and his work ethic something to be proud of. The excellent backup facilities and support Freethought provide were also fundamental in getting the site back."

"Freethought – Reliable, helpful customer service and fair pricing. What’s not to like? Before Freethought (shudder) I hosted with a US company. They liked to charge me extra to subsidise their new customers, but I didn’t like this feature very much. I thought I was stuck with them as UK prices were just so unreasonable, but a friend of a friend recommended Freethought and for the first time, I saw an affordable alternative. I wasn’t expecting much when I joined in 2014, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I’ve rarely seen any downtime, and all scheduled upgrades or maintenance are listed in advance on their status page. On one occasion something did go wrong (such is life!), but they dealt with it very quickly. Their customer service is extraordinarily good. I’ve not experienced anything quite like it. For example, I wanted to load an operating system on my VPS that they currently couldn’t offer from template. They did me a custom install from ISO! Perhaps this is common place in the industry these days I don’t know, but surely not at the price I pay. I initially signed up for a month (as you can do that without paying 3 times the price!). Three years on, I pay a year at a time to save a few sovs (with two months free). I felt cheated with my old host, not with Freethought though as besides getting good value for money, I pay exactly the same amount as everyone else on my package. I hope I’m not jinxing it by saying Freethought haven’t put their prices up once in my three years with them, but even if they do, it won’t be just because it’s April again. If you are considering a new host, you could do a lot worst while paying a lot more. From my experience with Freethought, I can only recommend you give them a try."

As for putting prices up, we've done quite the opposite and have doubled our server memory, upgraded storage to SSD, and kept the prices the same! 😀

"Whenever I have had a question, both before and after purchasing, I got detailed and personal responses, and those at Freethought have always seemed genuine and out to do the best for their customers. The site is really nice and modern too, and thoughtfully designed. As for the technical side, the virtual server I have with them is running beautifully, fast, and at a reasonable price. Can't say fairer than that!"

"Freethought Internet is better than you can hope for. A small company run by a few hard working, nice, friendly and helpful people. SO HAPPY we have found them (albeit through a recommendation!!). Their services have speeded up our websites no end. Another corporation to take off our payroll, replaced by humans. Phew!!"

"I've been using Freethought Internet for a couple of years now. Their service & support has always been above and beyond what I could have expected. The process of setting up an account with them was quick and painless. Pricing was less than I expected and the support is faultless. Recently when setting up a new service(very late on a Friday) when the process between PayPal and Freethought was down, Edward very quickly manually approved the service so I could continue restoring service to my new customer."
