In setting up hosting I had a strange technical problem, which turned out to be caused by my modem. Technical support were excellent. They were prompt and helpful. I've found Freethought to be competitive in pricing and I like the ethical credentials.

I was recommended to move to Freethought when my previous website and email host retired from their business after 11 years of being with them. I have now been with Freethought for over a year and the service has been outstanding. I have contacted them on several occasions with queries and each time it has been dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently by Edward, Kieran and the team. Highly recommend them!

Absolutely top-class service. I can't say enough good things about them. Not only rock-solid hosting and very clear domain name management, but their support desk is superb. They've been incredibly helpful and indeed proactive. And so nice!! It is a pleasure contacting them, and they have sorted out every one of my problems -- none by them, all my own -- quickly and completely. I also like their ethos. They want to be seen as a fair, transparent, and responsible hosting service, and my gosh do they walk the walk. If I could trumpet their virtues from the top of St Paul's cathedral (or pick your favorite very tall thing) I would. I recommend them constantly. No hesitation. Wish I could give them more stars.

Brilliantly professional, friendly and helpful service. I was very nervous about changing website host, but Kieran went through the process with me, sorted it all out and was cheerful and patient throughout the whole thing. Plus your charges are much much lower than my previous host!

Yesterday Freethought retrieved my domain & email I never thought I would be able to get back from a very large well advertised company with no time to assist non tech customer. Freethought - you have exceeded expectations and I have no hesitation to ask for any further assistance from you :)

I have been a customer with Freethought ever since they took over from TDM, so perhaps 20 years! They are the best hosting company that I have had the good fortune to use and I have tried a few of the larger hosting companies. Their hosting service never seems to fail and the general impression is one of a very technically competent organisation with very little bureaucracy. When I have had to raise a support ticket, they have gone the extra mile to ensure my issue was resolved, albeit it would be of my own making! They are a friendly, adaptable and conscientious organisation who fly the gold standard for hosting services. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service.

After careful research for a UK based website hosting company with an excellent reputation and good value hosting I found Freethought. I have now migrated all my websites and domains to them and they kindly took care of the entire migration process for me. I'm pleased to say the whole process went very smoothly with no problems at all. I have been particularly impressed with their answers to my questions: clear and not too technical for me to understand. This is exactly the type of support I am looking for in a host.

The Freethought team has always respond immediately, then carefully address any problem. They help and support as quickly as possible and I feel they are always there to help me. All the problems I have brought to the team, particularly Edward and Kieran, have been addressed thoroughly, solved and brought to a satisfactory conclusion. I'm pretty illiterate website-wise, so this has been extremely valuable to me.

Over the last 20 years or so of using PCs with internet I have never come across any organisation as good as Freethought. They host my domain and website and when I left another company which had become very expensive and joined Freethought not only did I find them very good value indeed but I was just amazed at the level of help I received in setting things up. Since then whenever I have had a problem, however minor, not only has a response been very rapid (always within hours in my cases) but the level of expertise shown has been superb. This company is clearly run by experts who care and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Where do I start with this glowing review, as there are just so many plus points to highlight about ‘freethought’: 1. I wish all UK companies would copy their business model – it does exactly what is says on the tin (a rare breed). In fact these guys could have written Sir Julian Richer’s ‘Good Business Charter’ for him (instead of one of the Big4 money machines!) 2. Their honest approach and ethical behaviour also makes a profit for both them and the country (unlike the mass marketing ‘Go Daddy’s of this world!) 3. You can actually talk to a human being who knows every answer to your uniquely bizarre techie queries (providing you with additional elements that may enlighten you further). 4. They also provide total transparency and tell you the downsides, as they’d rather you be fully aware before committing (yup, absolute honesty even when they could lose a sale). 5. They understand customers and listen; “nothing is more important than our customers being happy and not having any problems…” and absolutely deliver on it (bless Kieran, his ears must having been bleeding having spent hours on the phone with me, but he was absolutely superb, friendly, patient, professional, focussed, honest and knowledgeable. He owns the company and answers the phone). 6. They don’t do any marketing and only get their customers through word of mouth … I just wish each of us could put a streaming / undeletable link review on each sh!**y domain / website builder’s page with a link to freethought. Plus, now John Lewis has removed its ‘never knowingly undersold’ tagline (since Dame Sharon also wants profit before people now) we could even use that, because these guys don’t have it in them to misrepresent customers, its not in their DNA. Freethought, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Kieran deserves a special award / mention. I look forward to our continued working relationship. For the avoidance of doubt to all you undecided potentially new customers; pick up the phone for a change and talk to a human who will confirm this review 110%. Then go back to online processing and purchasing… it just isn’t the same. Get your website hosting services at Freethought – never knowingly undersold, with the best customer experience you could ever dream of. Ps. I neverrrrrrrrrr post reviews either in this mundane, fake digital world… these guys flip that perspective on its head. So I couldn’t not return the favour and rave about how great they are.

Swtiched to Freethought because of their ethical and ecological stand. Their good rates and absolutely smashing customer service were added bonuses! Totally impressed and delighted. They sorted out some difficult issues with my migration and made things easy. Looks like I have my forever home!

I've been running a small development site on Freethought for some years now, and have been very impressed with the service. It's fast and reliable, and has handled pretty well everything I've thrown at it - and the one time I needed to contact tech support they responded within the hour and had a fix within the day (it wasn't their fault). Excellent!

Since choosing Freethought for our webhosting we have been hugely impressed by the unquestioning rapid support both Edward & Kieran have given us at Warminster Conservative Club .... Transfer a domain..no problem! ....Set up DNS records for mail purposes ....no problem! Countless support tickets answered, usually within a couple of hours. Thank You Freethought

Compared with my previous service providers (123reg and 1and1/ionos), those guys are much more helpful, they have helped me to set up everything within less than 24h!!! Very educated and professional staff people. First time in the UK I see real "professional" service here, the first time I have spend money and I can say, it was worth any penny.

In my student times they seemed to offer the lowest price with LetsEncrypt support, and since then I stayed for the excellent customer support. No matter what stupid questions I come up with as I'm learning, they always care and are happy to discuss and help. Much appreciated!
