“Where do I start with this glowing review, as there are just so many plus points to highlight about ‘freethought’: 1. I wish all UK companies would copy their business model – it does exactly what is says on the tin (a rare breed). In fact these guys could have written Sir Julian Richer’s ‘Good Business Charter’ for him (instead of one of the Big4 money machines!) 2. Their honest approach and ethical behaviour also makes a profit for both them and the country (unlike the mass marketing ‘Go Daddy’s of this world!) 3. You can actually talk to a human being who knows every answer to your uniquely bizarre techie queries (providing you with additional elements that may enlighten you further). 4. They also provide total transparency and tell you the downsides, as they’d rather you be fully aware before committing (yup, absolute honesty even when they could lose a sale). 5. They understand customers and listen; “nothing is more important than our customers being happy and not having any problems…” and absolutely deliver on it (bless Kieran, his ears must having been bleeding having spent hours on the phone with me, but he was absolutely superb, friendly, patient, professional, focussed, honest and knowledgeable. He owns the company and answers the phone). 6. They don’t do any marketing and only get their customers through word of mouth … I just wish each of us could put a streaming / undeletable link review on each sh!**y domain / website builder’s page with a link to freethought. Plus, now John Lewis has removed its ‘never knowingly undersold’ tagline (since Dame Sharon also wants profit before people now) we could even use that, because these guys don’t have it in them to misrepresent customers, its not in their DNA. Freethought, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Kieran deserves a special award / mention. I look forward to our continued working relationship. For the avoidance of doubt to all you undecided potentially new customers; pick up the phone for a change and talk to a human who will confirm this review 110%. Then go back to online processing and purchasing… it just isn’t the same. Get your website hosting services at Freethought – never knowingly undersold, with the best customer experience you could ever dream of. Ps. I neverrrrrrrrrr post reviews either in this mundane, fake digital world… these guys flip that perspective on its head. So I couldn’t not return the favour and rave about how great they are.”

“I've been running a small development site on Freethought for some years now, and have been very impressed with the service. It's fast and reliable, and has handled pretty well everything I've thrown at it - and the one time I needed to contact tech support they responded within the hour and had a fix within the day (it wasn't their fault). “This is a truly excellent company. Support is always prompt, expert and effective. Even small issues, not necessarily Freethought's responsibility, are handled or advised on. I have placed several sites with Freethought, one (a Camera Club) was hacked over Christmas a few years ago and the support from Edward was just remarkable. Edward helped greatly over the holiday period and got us up and running - and free from the hackers.”

“I am only a very basic and small business user, but nevertheless, quick access to emails and resolution / support with any problems are paramount. The servers used by Freethought are rapid and stable. From my start up, Freethought guided me and created for me 5 x business email addresses and a domain / website address. They are on the end of a phone if you need them and the cost for this service (set up & monthly costs) is more minimal than I would have thought possible! I am currently renewing with them after a trouble-free year and would urge any UK company to consider them as a provider. **If you are in Lincoln....I cannot think of a reason why you would look any further that Freethought Internet. They are a 'real' / contactable company....not some virtual office with only an on-line presence. Please take a look at them!”

“dealt with some of the "big names" and freethought beats them easily for customer service. you get through to a real person much quicker and in my case, they knew what they were doing and solved the problem (domain transfer) very quickly. As i said, gave the big boys a go first and waited 3 days to be told they couldn't do it.”

“We migrated our DNS services across to Freethought a year or so back, after changing our ISP. The migration process was painless thanks to the assistance offered by Edward and Kieran, who offered to import everything for us ahead of the changeover. I've since had the need to purchase additional domain and certificates, and in each case the process has been swift and trouble free. Emails and queries are always answered promptly with clear advice given, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent service across the board, and highly recommended.”

“Have just opened an account with Freethought and so far the service has been excellent. Great to be able to just pick up the phone and speak to a real person and get everything sorted out quickly and easily. As well as doing standard services like migrating websites - which they did extremely promptly - they also fixed other details for me (e.g., DNS records for a different email provider I have) and made sure everything was just right. Obviously I haven't been with Freethought long yet, but in terms of moving hosts and domains and getting everything set up with minimum fuss, I would highly recommend them. Oh yeah - and their pricing is really good - very reasonable and straightforward - with options of cPanel or Plesk and things like free Let's Encrypt support included. So far, I would highly recommend them.”
