Hi Martin, I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the turkey and the service received. The short best before date was a simple printing error, as I explained in my email to you earlier this week, it should have read April 2024 not 2023! Deliveries can take up to two days to arrive and this is also explained on our delivery information page. I understand it can be frustrating when parcels take an extra day to be delivered, but the delay won't have had any negative effect on the quality of the product received, our packaging will keep the meat protected for the duration of the delivery. Regarding the premium price paid, this reflects the fantastic life the turkeys have enjoyed, having been raised in a small batch, on pasture, for a period of 6 months while being lovingly cared for by our team and fed on a completely natural, and organic diet before being hand-plucked, oven-prepared and delivered to you. I am sorry we couldn't meet your expectations on this occasion. Kind regards, Ollie

My rolled joint of beef was half fat! The minute steak was tough. I think I’ll stay with my local butcher with local farm cattle.

Good product but a lot of plastic packaging and shipment by DHL. Doesn’t make sense that in order to eat sustainable product I waste all this plastic and get a company with a huge fleet like DHL to ship the product for me adding more emissions to the atmosphere. That’s not sustainable. When I ordered! I thought that farm2fork will ship the product in your own mini van, frozen yes, but packaged minimally as it will be same day delivery. It’s not farm2Fork, it’s farm to butchery, to giant freezers, to packaging facility, to DHL depot, to DHL truck, to 100s of miles on the highway then to fork

Delivery was a day late. Whilst well packaged and good quality, it was quite expensive.

Hi Steve, Thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry your delivery was delayed. The courier networks were overwhelmed with parcels in the run-up to Christmas with an unforeseen increase in volume in part due to the recent Royal Mail strikes, this caused some delivery depots to become backlogged with parcels resulting in delivery delays. I'm really sorry your order was affected by this. Kind regards, Ollie

The meat was delicious. The delivery was good.

Hi, the meat is good, but there were many feathers and fibres sticking to the skin of the chicken wings. It kind of spoiled the appeal of chicken wings. Kindly ensure chicken wings are clean thoroughly before shipping.

First time I used this company. The meat was well wrapped and arrived as stated in email. The chicken feet were dirty with feathers stuck to them and no instructions on the best possible way to clean before using them. Chicken carcasses were frozen two to a bag, I had to used a hammer to separate them as I only need to use one at a time to make my broth. Very disappointed

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Our chicken feet will require extra cleaning as advised in the website product description, we can recommend the following blog for tips on how to prepare the perfect pasture-raised chicken feet http://theelliotthomestead.com/2015/01/chicken-feet/. Regarding our chicken carcasses, these are sold and packed by weight not quantity, I'm sorry if this wasn't understood. If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to contact us. All the best, Farm2Fork

I ordered chicken thighs which when cooked are ok, but rather small for the price, and I was very disappointed with my mutton loin chops, they were cooked in the oven but were very hard to eat and cut being so tough. So I did not have a very good meal that eveving.

The burgers were tasty, the sausages very not great I would avoid them personally. The mince was good but nothing special. I still have yet to try the steaks.

Hi Jacqui, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am pleased to hear you are happy with the order process and delivery service. Regarding the size of your chicken thighs, these were small because you ordered our lightest pack (2x thighs @ 200g). We sell our thighs in a range of pack weights, so if you would like larger thighs next time, just order one of the heavier packs! Kind regards, Ollie

They are good and deliver quickly, but I do have to be honest I have had better organic meat from other shops online. They need to get better with how they cut the meat my lamb leg had the ankle or something attached and the beef fillet was just not cut well at all.

Hi Niamh, Thank you for your feedback, I am really sorry to hear you weren't happy with how the meat you received had been butchered. For the lamb leg you describe, we cut through the bone at the base of the leg and fold it back, quite simply, we do this to make it easier for you to fit the joint of meat into the oven. I hope this explanation is helpful, Ollie

Very disappointed that the mince was defrosting by the time we opened the box. I was advised I would have been able to refreeze it and it would have been safe but I thought this would be risky. Other than that the meat has been tasty and good quality.

Wasn’t comfortable that the meat arrived thawed

The company itself has great produce but their couriers, DHL, failed to make the delivery and kept the meat in their warehouse overnight. It was still cold when I received it, so I didn’t contact Farm2Fork for a refund but I think the packaging could benefit from more prominent markings saying it needs to be delivered on the day specified because it contains frozen food.

First time I've used Farm2Fork the Topside roasting Beef was very tough even though it was cooked Rare and cut against the grain. The Lamb mince though was the best I've ever had.

Was delivered on time and well packaged. We found it plucked quite poorly, spent quite some time trying to get it all out with tweezers , gave up after 40 minutes. Looked really unappetising as black feathers, so no crispy skin for us this time. Bird tasted nice though.

Hi Annette, thank you for your feedback. If you've not had a bronze turkey before the black stubs can look a little off-putting, but they are nothing to worry about and will disappear during cooking. As you have found, it would take a very long time with a pair of tweezers to remove them all, particularly the ones that sit just under the skin. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the taste of the bird.
