“Bit of shot in the dark as I ordered a goose from Farm2Fork for Christmas with no prior knowledge of them as our local supplier has stopped rearing geese. Need not have worried, the goose arrived when stated, beautifully packaged and was totally scrumptious! Very tender and tasty meat. We ordered a bird for 6-8 people and we had 6 very good sized portions from it, I think for a normal family who don’t eat so much it would have fed 8.”

“Was delivered on time and well packaged. We found it plucked quite poorly, spent quite some time trying to get it all out with tweezers , gave up after 40 minutes. Looked really unappetising as black feathers, so no crispy skin for us this time. Bird tasted nice though.”

Hi Annette, thank you for your feedback. If you've not had a bronze turkey before the black stubs can look a little off-putting, but they are nothing to worry about and will disappear during cooking. As you have found, it would take a very long time with a pair of tweezers to remove them all, particularly the ones that sit just under the skin. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the taste of the bird.

“I found Farm2Fork in a moment of panic when I realised that we would be fewer for Christmas Day than planned (thanks of course to Covid!). Luckily they had 3 geese left so I ordered one and allowed myself to breathe again. The goose arrived beautifully done up with a note saying Merry Christmas and a few herbs to tuck in. All cooking instructions were provided and most importantly, it was delicious and plenty to go round. Stock has now been made and ready for some soup with some bits of goose picked off the carcase,added veg and some butter beans. Highly reccommended. Thankyou Farm2Fork!”

“Delicious. As a result of our sudden classification as tier four, we had an eleven pound goose between two of us, No problem. So far it has provided a main course for four days and is still beautiful. We have one day left. Goose soup. We have not had to resort to goose souffle or goose crumble. Huge amounts of goose fat left. Roast potatoes well into the New Year. Thank you for your excellent contribution to a very strange Christmas.”

“Received our turkey 2 days before Xmas exactly onetime. It came with full instructions on defrosting. We had 5kg bird which we cooked for just under 4hrs and basted every 30mins. Everyone enjoyed the turkey. I will definitely use this company next year.”
