“Disgraceful customer service. Element blew 6 weeks outside 1 year guarantee and they were not interested in the Sale of Goods Act which states that goods must last a reasonable amount of time, which can be up to six years from the date of purchase. Had it bene 2/3 year's I wouldn't have been bothered, but in this instance I assumed they would agree a replacement should last longer, however I was simply told we are not doing anything. I will post my experience all over the Internet as the owner told me to basically go away....”

Hello, We're sorry you think our customer service was poor, however I would firstly like to make the point that you were definitely not told to 'go away' by the member of staff you spoke to on the phone. The Sale of Goods Act (which was legislation replaced in 2015) or its replacement, never did/does not state that you are able to get a replacement spare part under guarantee 6 years after you have purchased it. If this was the case, we - amongst many others - would not be in business! We are under no obligation to offer any warranty on our parts beyond the initial 30 day cooling off period. However, unlike most online retailers and marketplaces with whom you would have no comeback, we offer parts with 6 month and 12 month warranties for you to choose from. Whilst I do understand your frustration that the part failed a fairly short time after your warranty period, we make it perfectly clear on our website that 12 months is the warranty we offer - which you have acknowledged. Typically, in your specific make and model of oven, fan oven elements do last longer. However, failure is more so down to the conditions the element operates in, for example efficiency of the fan, and insulation of the oven cavity, rather than the element itself. Hopefully, you might reconsider us not replacing an item for you for free because it is outside its 1 year warranty period, as 'disgraceful customer service'. Regards, Tom Element Replacement Ltd.
