“bought same chicken hutch last year so pleased with it decided to get another, recent hutch not nearly as good a quality as first one, such a shame when standards slip. delivery however was still brilliant”

“I was a bit disappointed at first with the quality/finish or the article but it was quite substantial once together and it looks good. There were one or two screws that "missed the mark" and we had to reinsert these. There ought to be screws to hold the roosting bars in place as they move about and so we did this. It did go together very easily and the chooks do love it now.”

“I have recently purchased a XXL Stables chicken house with run. The ordering and delivery process was faultless. However, after receiving the coop and putting it together I must admit I am slightly disappointed. It's not as sturdy and strong as it looked on the picture online. The online description states its suitable for 8 to 14 birds dependent on size. We have 6 Warrens which are classed as medium, and they certainly don't have the space around them that they should have. I am now going to have to order another run at a cost of £79.99 to give them the space they need. I think the perches are built too close together as well, not giving the girls enough room to move :(”

“There was a few teething problems when I ordered my coop but thankfully Andy sorted them out. It's not what happens, it's more how you deal with what happens that counts. My issues were rectified no problem, so I would reccomend this company to others. Donna from the North East.”

“Good product and well designed. Impressed with build instructions and extra fixings. Sadly slightly let down by a) door handle coming off on day#2 b) paid for next day delivery and even after allowing for bank holiday it still took three days to arrive. I did raise these with Eggshell direct before writing this and have waited over a week for a response but not had anything back which is disappointing as overall this is a good product but let down by service.”

“So far the emails have been prompt and polite, althought the Coop has not arrived yet so I can't comment on that. I would however like to say that the delivery is an 'all day affair' which is fairly inconvenient, and would like to feedback that having morning or afternoon slots (as most deliveries seem to manage these days) would be very beneficial.”

“The quality looked good on arrival; and the coop and run assembled easily. I am very pleased with this side of the operation. Disappointingly the order was not complete and I had to phone up to get the rest of the order however the issue was quickly and courteously resolved.”

“Purchased a Kingston Portable and Extension Run for Betty Gertrude Nelly 2mtrs. The overall product are ok but we had wood split at several ends, doors don't have enough locks on then as you can push the doors in at the bottom. Although we are happy with the products we were going to purchase 2 more runs but then notice the large price hike, which I don't feel they are worth.”

“We brought the portable Mayfair. It was easy to assemble. Not as sturdy as it looked in the picture, but easily moveable which is what we were after. All the screws were in labelled bags so building it was fine and it has already weathered a fair bit of rain. Only downside was we didn't feel the customer services was overly friendly when we called them to book delivery and in this day and age being told delivery would be between 9am and 6pm and that someone needed to be home to sign for it was a major disadvantage. I believe for £17.99 delivery they should really give you a morning or afternoon delivery slot then we wouldn't have had to take the whole day off work.”

“The product itself was easy to put together and looks very nice, time will tell how the elements affect it. As for delivery, I did not appreciate paying out 200+ pounds just to have to take a whole day off work. Delivery time quoted between 9AM and 6PM, I asked them to narrow it a little to be told they couldn't! Other than that so far I and my ladies are happy”

“The coop arrived on time but had the wrong instructions inside. I had to wait 2 hours for them to be emailed to me and that after several phone calls. One of the bolts came loose very quickly so has been replaced. The fastening clips have already begun to rust. The wooden construction is of good quality and easy to clean and the chickens are happy.”

“I paid an experienced DIY tradesman to put together and he had to glue some areas and add longer screws. He felt the instructions could be clearer, particularly perch install. The quality of the wood is good, as is general build and delivery very fast.”

“Unfortunately we got off to a bad start as the coop did not arrive on the specified day (down to the courier, I was told, annoying having waited in all day). No sign on the next day, Saturday, finally arrived on the Monday morning. I asked for a refund of the additional money we had paid for express delivery but as yet this has not been forth-coming. The coop itself had some minor damage, a large chip missing on one panel and a section of another was coming away. We mended these ourselves as we thought this would be less hassle than returning it and waiting for a new one. Overall though, the coop was ok and a good design. One tip would be to make sure you go by the dims given and not by the photos which can be a little misleading in terms of size.”
