Equipment supplied was known to be defective but I was not informed until I complained. This caused me embarrassment. Replacement has been promised, but I'm still waiting.

Dear Sir Thank you for your review of our company. Unfortunately our supplier had no dimmable heater controls available at the time of your order so you were supplied with a temporary on/off control. We're extremely sorry to hear that this was not communicated to you prior to installation and would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere apologies. Very disappointed! The brochure states:" A glorious Winter's day...enjoy them all from your Eden Veranda." What the brochure and salesman didn't say, was that there is condensation in winter, which will cause water to drip from the underside of your veranda, wetting whoever may be standing/sitting underneath. An all weather veranda only if you invest in towels, squeegees and other accessories to dry the underside of the veranda. Don't even consider keeping furniture under the veranda, if you want your furniture to stay dry. After sales service was non-existent. I have been waiting a week for a call back from a manager. Still waiting!

Thank you for your review regarding your Open Veranda. We understand that you have spoken to our Customer Relationship Manager who has advised the characteristics of a Open Veranda and what can be expected year round with the climate in England. You may experience condensation and driving rain in the Winter which is why we recommend the use of garden furniture. We hope that can enjoy the use your Open Veranda and are certain you will see the benefits of alfresco living, especially in the warmer months.

I ordered a large awning in March 2021… with respect to Covid rules this eventually arrived with multiple delays in June 2021. The awning is excellent.. well built and of superb quality… it operates well and I could not complain about it. My problem lies with its casing… the contractors fitted plastic casing which melted and warped badly in the first days -,week. EV responded to my email and pictures however another long wait in which a surveyor arrives and takes measures for ‘made to measure ‘ metal casing. Another long wait and this arrives followed by contractors a week later to fit. This has now been fitted ( November 2021) however while the street view is lovely of the awning ..the contractors made a really bad job with the cut at you the down pipe ( the whole reason for casing). They appear to have cut the metal wrong around the pipe… which I wrongly assumed was made to measure… then placed an irregular off cut shape shape top over it… to cover the original bad cut! it looks terrible! It’s going to rust easily. I reported this last week Wednesday 10/ 11/21 and had no response yet… I have just telephoned Monday 15/10/21 and told someone will respond eventually. No one took the waste large amounts of plastic away from original casing so I’ve had to pay my handy man to dump them today. I am disappointed with the casing and my service now …obviously feel for the price of £10,000 I should get the best service and professional finish to my awning. Happy to show pictures and await EV to ‘eventually get back to me’ and another wasted day probably to have to wait in for survey! Happy to be contacted and happy to provide all pictures!

We had a new patio built and decided we needed something to shield it from the sun. Eden had a good reputation, so we went to them, the awnings are all made in Germany, you can buy them from a range of suppliers, it is good quality.Unfortunately it does not do the job we wanted, it hardly provides any shelter from the sun! Responsibility for this rests with Eden, we explained what we required to the 'surveyor' they sent, he took measurements and photos and we paid several thousands of pounds, when the fitters came, they immediatly questioned the plans, we referred them back to Eden, where someone looked at the details on computer and made adjustments. From the first sunny day, at 3pm, in mid July, it was clear the awning offered no shade on the patio at all!, several phone calls later, lead to another fitter attending to make some adjustments, which made a only marginal improvement. My advice would be shop around, get several firms to visit and compare what they tell you, hopefully you will then get what you actually want!
