“Before opting for an E Badge machine, I looked at various other suppliers, even hiring a machine for a few days to try it out, and get some idea of what to expect. I particularly liked the idea of the machine being "Made in England" ( a pretty rare thing these days). I chose the Mini option as it appeared robust, simple to operate, and, from pictures, looked nicely made. When I received the machine, I was impressed by the build quality, design, and ease of operation. Of course, the words Made in England may refer to where the machine was assembled, the individual parts coming from several different countries and suppliers (just like modern cars). The main aluminium frame looked good. A minimum of flaws in the casting and the finish, be it paint or powder coating, is good and even. All of the machined aluminium and steel components carried a good finish. A nice feature is that all the potential sharp edges were chamfered, reducing the chances of cutting fingers. I liked the sliding carriage being supported on a sliding dovetail. There was a lot of attention to detail, which I believe most customers would not notice. To me, it looks like the design has been well thought out and well constructed. I applied a drop of lubricant to the moving parts, making them easier to slide. I am currently experimenting with a bit of compressible rubber to hold the operating levers in the "parked" vertical position. I am more than happy with the machine and have made a couple of batches of badges with no difficulty.”

“The badge 'machine' is brilliant, but the metal badge pack is not quite as perfect. I was trying to reduce plastic, but there is more wastage with the metal pack than with the plastic badge pack because they are not as robust and a few pieces had got crushed in transit. Also, some of the bits that were supposed to have pins didn't have any, and more annoyingly, some of the pins were in the wrong way round, so if you judged by the pin, they stuck in the machine because the ridge was on the wrong side. Easily corrected, but it took me a while to work out what was going wrong. However, they have given excellent service, replacing more than the faulty badges and checking that all is now well. I will certainly be buying items from eBadges again and recommend the products and company.”

“I should have bought an eBadgw machine earlier after working my way through a succession of cheap plastic beasts. Postage was prompt, I received it the next day. It’s a sturdy machine and I’m just hoping that sooner or later there’s a 32mm die on the market as that’s my best selling badge size.”
