Very upset when ordering on line the site said 14 days minimum. My skip arrived Tuesday afternoon and was taken Saturday morning early . You cant book a skip on a Saturday?? Skip was half full and cost £350 . Everything we planned to remove didn't go as was a project on the weekend with family. Very disappointed wasnt even qtr full 😕

Very disappointing. Unable to deliver skip having done so previously. Fortunately a competitor was able to deliver the service at a lower cost.

Was my first time using a skip from here. I was told 3 dates this week that it would be collected, waited in all 3 days for it not to be collected and no explanation for this. Unfortunately, I have now lost out on 3 days work to be offered £35 to compensate for this.

Hi, firstly we can only apologize for the delay in picking up your skip, as discussed on the phone , there was a system error and the collection was not visible to transport. Also as discussed a 25% refund has been given in light of this due to the error made. again we can only apologize for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Dunmow group.
Everything was fine until I realised that mixed construction did not include Plasterboard. When ordering a second skip I discussed the situation and as the skip was full I was charged £88 extra, and the loyalty discount code Loyal5 can't be applied as it's not an online order. I won't be using Dunmow skip's again as their customer service is non existent.

Unreliable poor service. 4 days ago I booked my skip is to be collected today, didnot turnup today , so when i Phoned them ,said they cannot collect today. I have to take time off for this collection.I used them twice before, those were ok. No more skip from them

I was highly disappointed. To think Dunmow group was recommended and I got a very terrible service. They came to deliver the skip and couldn’t place it in the same place it was placed the last time I ordered they left with the skip and processed a refund WITHOUT speaking to me!!!

Collection date changed without notification, so personal items were thrown out the skip, and travellers helping themselves.

These people never collect a skip when requested. It sits there for days and days after promised collection and you just get fobbed off with excuses. Would never use again. Not recommended.

Well, this was a good company until recently, i used to call and get skips dropped and collected at the drop of a hat. Recently however getting a skip is the easy part, change over mostly ok, but getting a collection is like pulling teeth. Booked my collection on 14th July and was told it would happen on the following Tuesday, phone call from them at around 4pm on the Tuesday saying its been rolled over and would be collected latest Friday, WTF seriously, Phoned today Thursday to confirm and was told between 3 and 5pm today, No collection and no call. From the biggest skip company in Essex i would expect more and this is becoming a common occurrence. I'm only a small company and my customers are important to me, so when i cant even tell them when they can have there drive back how does this make me look. Sorry Dunmow Skips i may not spend much with you but i think its time to go elsewhere.

Having used Dunmow various times, I was incredibly disappointed on this occasion. I booked online the night before for next day delivery, but then got a phone call the next morning I was expecting my skip to say that delivery wasn’t possible until the following day! The frustrating thing is that it was still possible to book online for same day delivery, even though they couldn’t honour my delivery slot! To top it off, it then took 5 working days for my £222 to be refunded! Very very disappointed with the service on this occasion, there seemed to be no effort to fix or rectify the issues with the online booking system that allowed such over booking.

I booked and paid £330 over the phone for a 6yd skip and agreed to have it delivered the following week. Within 2 hours I had an email stating that “due to an oversight” by the person that I booked it with and the transport manager, they were unable to provide a skip as they would have to reverse on to a pavement to drop it where I needed it. That’s understandable and we agreed to a full refund which they said would take 3-5 days! That on its own is bad enough as I needed the money back to arrange another skip and it wasn’t me that decided to cancel it! After no communication for 5 days I rang and got told that the refund only got processed the day before and would take a further 3-5 days to process! I’m now in the situation where I can’t do the work I had planned as the money I need for a skip is sitting in Dunmow Groups account probably earning interest as we speak and not only that I’m possibly looking at another week before I get my refund as it’s a bank holiday too! Absolutely disgusted with all of this and would urge anyone I know not to use them!!

Ordered a skip online said it was for 14 days, didn't get 14 days hire. Staff didn't care when I questioned it thought it was funny.

Hi Ian, my apologies you felt our staff didn't care, this is not the case and we are sorry if it came across this way to you. in regard to the 14 day hire terms , where your skip was delivered on 5th Dec at 8.12am and collected on the 19th Dec at 7.21am , i can only apologise for the hour less on your 14 day hire , we do our best to keep these collections as efficient as possible and plan our drivers work to what works logistically on the day, so the times can differ ever so slightly. Job not done on time After 3 days I called and was told the waste had been collected which it had not They did send a van to collect the waste but only after I’d called to complain

Dunmow Group have missed the agreed pickup date which has left me with a problem. The skip was also leaking Yellow Paint - now is all over my Block Paving - so not impressed.

I am just a woman, not a man and not a builder! I phoned them to ask for a skip they told me none were available. Phoned another company with a Chelmsford number but is in Hatfield as I found out later. Guess who delivered and who came to pick up the skip? yes Dunmow Skip so they obviously have an arrangement with this company. I ordered a 4 yards skip and was delivered a 2 yards one I paid just under £300. Yes overdone by Dunmow skip who obviously will not let this review there. Honesty is questionable.

Have used this company many times in the past, without a problem - but they were much smaller then. Issues: - Very difficult to get through to the office. Very slow to answer sometimes didn't answer at all. - Communications by e-mail confusing. They should consider what this looks like from the customer point of view. - E-mailing when the driver is en route is pointless - a phone call or text message would be more appropriate. - Phoned up to extend a skip hire - took 15 minutes to process - should take no more than 2 minutes. - Driver who collected my (mini) skip didn't bother to knock on the front door. In collecting the skip he snapped some tree branches that then needed to be cut off and also chipped three facing bricks on my front wall. He then scarpered without mentioning either of these items to me. Very poor service and "Jack the Lad" style. I took photos of the damage but couldn't be bothered contacting the office as I didn't think it was a good use of my time. - Summary - Very poor customer service, go elsewhere.

Ordered for a Saturday. Not able to deliver due to staff shortage. Offered for Monday but had organised clearing garden and garage for Saturday and Sunday too, so not a great experience.

Your website advertises skip hire at up to 14 days but you have picked it up after 1 week without any notice (as far as I am aware) and we were not finished. Poor communication.
