Pre booked a morning delivery for a domestic skip. The skip was not delivered and no contact was made, so I chased at 12.00pm and was told it would arrive by 2.00pm, no explanation. In fairness, Dunmow did refund the delivery charge.

l phoned up last week to have my skip removed l was told it would be picked up by monday (17th/5) at the latest, no one showed, l had to phone again this morning and it was finally picked up this afternoon.

Hi Colin , my apologies your skip was collected a day later than you expected, we do endeavour to collect skips as quickly as possible and do advise collections can take up to a few days from booking date. my colleague did advise it would be Monday earliest and i can only apologise that this took place on the Tuesday. if you would like to discuss this further please give us a call on 01245 466646. kind regards Dunmow Group
Pick up process is extremely poor. I see 10s of Dunmow group lorries drive past my house everyday on the way back to site empty after having dropped off new skips in dunmow direction. It took over 2 weeks for a collection. There seems to be some very inefficient processes in place for collections.

Hi Jonathan, my apologies in the length of time it has taken to collect your skip, we always aim to collect within 5 working days of the request. I won’t use the Dunmow Group again. They initially delivered the wrong skip which cost me 3 days and then didn’t collect when they were supposed to and nearly set back other work where the space was required. Not great all round and there will be other skip companies I will be using in future.

I was told I had the skip for 2 weeks but this got picked up after 10 days when I wasn’t home and the skip wasn’t full. When I sent an email I got told the skip was nearly full. I argued that it wasn’t fully full though and I hadn’t had the skip for the full 2 weeks. The answer was to purchase another one. I didn’t think that was fair as I had not had my time or skip size with the one I had ordered and so requested a smaller skip be sent back to fill with what I had left. I’ve had no response since. Poor!

Most expensive but thought id gwt the service but it wasnt there. I requested the skip to be removed a week early but after many excuses and me chasing them, they managed to pick it up a day earlier than earlier. Doubt i would use again.

Unfortunately you said you couldn’t access my property so had to use another firm who had no problem getting a skip to me. On plus side you did reimburse me without a quibble.

Disappointed not to get a simple text to remind me when the skip was being picked up. The delivery date of the skip was changed by Dunmow and this caused confusion as to when the skip was being collected. We had a lot stuff that still needed to go in the skip. A simple text a day before would have been so helpful.

Delivery was late very late in the day (4:50pm) when had pre ordered for morning drop 3-4 days in advance as it was pretty crucial our timings worked, had come away from my normal skip company to try and eliminate this! So wasn’t best impressed with first time using dunmow skips Regards Chris the builder

The ordering process and skip were good, however I think it is very poor that the company doesn’t call you or send an automated message the day before to say that they will be collecting.
