“I’ve been using Dr. Sam’s skincare for around two years and have genuinely loved its simplicity and the solid results. The no-nonsense approach really appealed to me.
But lately, I feel the brand has lost some of its authenticity. With more and more products being added, it’s starting to feel like a money grab rather than the straightforward, expert-led range I first loved.
The points system for members is a real letdown. I currently have around 3,000 points I’ll probably never use because:
You can only redeem £10 at a time.
You can’t use points on subscription orders (which are the only products I buy).
To use points, you’re forced to buy full-price products plus pay for P&P—making that £10 discount feel pretty pointless unless you splash out even more.
It’s frustrating to see a brand that started so well become overly slick with marketing tactics. I still rate the products, but the experience has pushed me to go elsewhere and try something new.”
