“I was kept well informed about delivery etc. product was well packaged. It would have been more helpful from an ordering point of view if the product stated if the finish was Matt or glossy. However that is not DIY's fault.”

“Very Impressed with these guys. Customer service exemplary. They kept me well informed of delivery and a complete breakdown of new carrier details and how to proceed if I missed delivery. I purchased Eco paint stripper after watching their video and definitely not dissapointed, it does exactly what they demonstrated and I know from reading reviews that they will offer advice if you have a problem when using their products. What more can you ask? Speedy delivery, excellent customer service and problem solving advice if needed. Great company! Will definitely be using again.”

“Ordered some x-tex and missed the first delivery due to the amazingly efficient service. A bit Sceptical about this product but, toxic free, water soluble, no smell or irritants and does a great job , requires two coats as the Artex was a heavy texture. What's not to like. Will be ordering more.”

“The product was delivered damaged with the container broken across the base leading to the stripper leaking in the bag.excellant response from DIY doctore resulting ina replacement 2 days later. Product works on removing old stain and varnish but needs some elbow grease to help it along!”

“The Faithfull Samurai Telescopic Lawn Shears are very effective at cutting those awkward corners the lawn mower can't reach. They are better than a strimmer as they don't damage the lawn edge. When the arms are fully extended, however, cutting accuracy is not as precise as with conventional short arm shears. On the other hand, no painful bending or kneeling, so on balance highly recommended.”

“Certainly softens up the Artex but found I had to scrape off like woodchip. Came off in very small scraps not strips. Then had to sand to smooth off which made a lot of mess, but it did do the job”

I'm really sorry that the X-tex didn't work as you had expected. The textured coating possibly either had vinyl silk emulsion over the top which contains plastic polymers, or the artex was a bonded textured coating which contains adhesives making removal harder than normal artex which of course is water-based. Any type of coatings/paint remover would have exactly the same reaction, but with the added hazards of nasty chemicals. I'm glad that you got it off in the end. If you ever have a problem like this again, please get in touch and we can see if we can suggest some tips to make life easier.
