Our fireplace arrived on Monday and we love the way it looks! The customer service was good at Direct Fireplaces for the ordering process, and we were able to use their price match guarantee successfully so we got a very good deal. I do however think that their process around delivery doesn’t work all that well. They told me that we’d get a call with a delivery date, but this didn’t come. After 10 days or so I chased this and had to do so a couple of times. It seems that the delivery is organised by the supplier, and once organised it went well. So we did receive our fireplace 3 & a half weeks after we ordered. I’m not sure though if we would have received it as quickly if I hadn’t chased this. I think that perhaps this process needs to be reviewed.

We ordered a Robinson Willey Firegem Visa Highline Fire. It arrived promptly enough, although covered in plastic tape as though the fire had been previously opened. Two fixing screws fell out of the box - luckily they were spotted by the engineer, other than that very pleased.

Fire delivered within timescale and in good condition. Supplier also helped solve problem with manufacturing defect on fire. Would have helped if we had been advised of delivery time slot and/or been given a call prior to delivery.

We are very satisfied with our purchase - the fireplace looks lovely. However, the website promised an agreed delivery date - this was not an option when we ordered, and when we phoned to question this we were assured we would be able to change the date with the delivery firm if necessary. However, DHL proved to be impossible to contact, and in the end I had to re-arrange a work commitment to be in when the delivery took place. Not the fault of Direct Fireplaces - but the website is a bit misleading.

Excellent customer service but a bit damage on fire place.delivery driver not a nice person my wife was upset with the attitudes down reluctant to say anything

Fireplace was delivered with the mantlepiece missing, took a few days for them to deliver the missing part. No offer of any refund for the inconvenience caused.

The order process went very smoothly and the delivery time was much less than predicted. The only problem was the fitter noticed that the front corner of the fire had been damaged in transit when he opened the box. He was able to straighten out the damage and since it would be covered by the trim, he went ahead with the fitting. Fire looks good and is working well.

Ok service. Item was delayed from supplier and I had to phone them to get updates, rather than them providing me with updates. Had to wait 3 months for the item. When delivered we were not given a date or time and I was actually away at the time, so it was just dumped on my drive!!

Fire looks lovely, only slight problem with the bottom plate that covers the ignition button. It has small clips on there but they don’t seem to fit anywhere, but if you put it at an angle it seems ok.

Initial contact very good. Unfortunately, although once contacted, staff were helpful, I did have to chase for answers a few times. Communication regarding delays would be helpful. Having said that, and following several delays due to manufacturing issues, once the fire was delivered, it is just what we wanted.

As first time fireplace installers it would have been good to have some sort of instruction!! Eventually figured it out but could have saved a bit of time with a simple leaflet.

The service was excellent. We had been supplied with a faulty coal which was caused by a fault with the manufacturer and not Direct fires but the issue was resolved by Direct Fireplaces very efficiently and professionally. We would certainly use again.
