Nice product but dreadful customer service. The telephone number is currently unmanned and I have had no response to several emails left. Part of the order that I placed was not delivered to the correct address and I am unable to contact the company for a refund. This is very stressful, time consuming and unacceptable customer service.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear this but I've searched your email address and I can't find any emails. Have you made a typo on my email address? It's sam@devonheaven.co.uk Thanks, Sam

I bought the afternoon cream tea hamper for my Mum but she said the scones and biscuits weren’t very nice. The jam was good. We were both very disappointed.

This was our second Cream Tea as our daughter ordered the first which was lovely. Our Second experience was NOT as the scones were sub-contracted to Ryder's Bakery and were frankly awful! They were tasteless, dry and a thorough disappointment and when I emailed Sam she just sorry and this is the email. "Sorry about this. Both the scones and jam are meant to come from the Devon Scone Company but they're only very small and as our volume has increased massively due to lockdown demand they're only able to supply us with about half of the jams and scones that we need each week. We've believe we've found equally good substitutes, especially for with the scones which are much bigger than the Devon Scone Company ones and have received lots of great feedback but I'm sorry that you didn't feel the same. We thought this was only going to be temporary so haven't changed the website and although we do say that that we reserve the right to make like for like substitutes on the website we will make an amendment if things continue. The cream is as listed on the website. Thanks, Sam" So no real apology as a substitute was in the terms of supply. Not a great Customer Experience and sadly we shall not be using your company again. The Cream Teas we ordered for our daughters also had substituted scones, which were like Supermarket Scones. What a Pity and a Disappointment. yours Mike Hellen Chelmsford

Not impressed. Large cream and scones hamper was ordered for a special occasion. The scones and jam were fine. The cream, however, was dry and curdled. When I complained I was told they passed the complaint to the company that supplied the cream and asked them to send a replacement cream. What good is that. I was dealing with Devon Heaven. They should have offered a refund or a replacement of the whole pack that we could enjoy. I emailed them back and they never replied. And I never heard from the cream company either. I was a regular customer, and had recommended to friends, no more. Not happy.

Food fantastic, admin not good. Received as a gift and was absolutely delicious. I then ordered 2 boxes, for friends. I had to move the date and emailed but my email wasn’t read properly so only one box was moved. The other was delivered while friend was in hospital and sat on the doorstep for a week so got thrown in the bin. I contacted Devin Heaven when I saw dispatch notice, pointed out the error but was not given a refund for the mistake.

Very pleased previously, but recently I ordered a hamper for delivery in Middlesex, which arrived about lunch time. I also decided that I would have the same on the same day for afternoon tea. Unfortunately although I live only about 1 mile from your premises (and 50 yards from your owner), it was about 5 pm before it was delivered!! Does not encourage a repeat

Sorry, 99.9% of our orders aren't local so everything is sent by courier and I didn't spot that this was a local order that I could have easily done myself. Thanks, Sam

This item was a Christmas present so I realise that they didn’t know we do not eat sweet products. I did email you to ask if you could change the sweet items to savoury but unfortunately you didn’t. The quality of the hamper was excellent but a little over priced for what you receive. I did put it to good use though,I passed it on to the local food bank. Regards Paul

Don't understand the rave reviews. Found the scones quite heavy and dense, the chocolate brownies were so solid, and far too rich, and we found the hard disc of strawberry, on top of the strawberry and cream biscuits, was rock hard, couldn't eat it. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Order hadn't been delivered on time but the contact email for Devon Heaven was unavailable! Order eventually arrived late at night which was not ideal as the recipient was my elderly mother who was frightened to answer the door , I was disappointed after the fabulous reviews I had read online

Ordered a Prosecco cream hamper as a gift to celebrate a close family members wedding which we sadly could not attend due to Covid restrictions. Was not delivered today (wedding day) by DHL, when I complained to Devon Heaven they just stated no delivery was guaranteed and we should have had it delivered the day earlier. Why - we want fresh scones and cream, not 24 hours old. Blame the customer - not impressed.

I bought it for a friends birthday and asked her for an honest opinion. She said the scones were more like a sweet roll and the cream was crumbly like a cheese. So sadly not the success I'd hoped for.

My postcode had an error, one digit wrong which would have taken the driver about two minutes away from me (totally my mistake) but my order had a mobile number and also my email and nobody made any contact. So my Devon Heaven box sat waiting for me to realise it wasn’t going to be delivered. It arrived two days later, scones hard as rock, cream off - the whole lot was thrown away. Waste of money. Poor service and poor value for money even if it had arrived on time.

It was bought as a Father's Day gift, unfortunately my parent's were disappointed. Seemed like the price was more about postage rather than quality of content.

Great ordering and delivery service. Very attractive packaging. Unfortunately, the scones were dissapointing and tasted like shop bought artificial products.

I ordered a luxury afternoon tea basket for my mum’s lockdown birthday. I went for this company given the good reviews. Good selection on website. I paid £40 with wicker basket. Ordering easy and delivery good. Well packaged. Scones, cream, jam and cookies were yummy. The real disappointment was around the marketing and labelling of the chocolate truffles. Given the cost of the hamper the truffles obviously were expensive - no where on the website did it indicate these truffles were alcoholic! In fact they said there was a mix of plain, milk and white chocolate truffles. I would not have ordered this particular hamper if I had known. The bag housing the chocolates had a list of ingredients but my mum wasn’t able to read the small print. Such a waste of money and very risky for allergies given the importance of contemporary advertising/labelling. When I raised this issue - Devon Heaven didn’t really get it. The truffle situation marred our experience. I was so looking forward to my mum receiving this gift but felt a bit let down by inaccurate advertising. Would not recommend sadly as very expensive given that chocolate truffles were binned.

The low score was due to the hamper being delivered a day late and no communication to explain this. . This mattered as it was a birthday gift. It was ordered 5 weeks earlier so plenty of notice. contents were reported as enjoyable, although not viewed by myself. On a plus, the gift was redirected from one address to another due to the death of the original recipient,. I was grateful that this was possible with no fuss.
