“Latest delivery contained very heavy doughy scones - too heavy to eat”

“Product very good but we paid £9.00 for special delivery nothing arrived on said agreed date and it was only when we chased them that it was posted. No refund for the extra charge we paid on an the agreed date.”

“Very disappointed Scones were stodgy & somehow dry at the same time. Definitely didn’t feel like a fresh product. Everything else was ok, good cream. But what’s the point when your scone is a bit rubbish?”

“bought an afternoon treat for my parents while on lockdown not very impressed at all the clotted cream was like water and my parents said there was hard bits in the scones which were also dry no flavour dissapointed”

“The products we nice but I paid £9 for Saturday delivery and it came on tuesday Devon heaven offered me a refund of £9 but this was not received I paid for a saturday delivery as it was for a birthday treat”

“Disappointed that the scones looked factory made than freshly cooked, the uniform shape gives that away. Tasted shop bought too, bit stodgy. Wasn't really value for money but it was welcomed as a surprise delivery which was the point I guess.”

Thanks for your review. The scones are hand made by the Devon Scone Company and aren't uniform in shape. We have loads of great comments about them so I guess it comes down to personal taste. Thanks, Sam

“inflexible: request to re-schedule or cancel order refused. would rather have lost 30 quid than have friends return from Venice to find out-of-date clotted cream on the doorstep. surely your courier would have preferred to bin my order and save themselves a drop?”

“Everything was perfect, however I discovered mould on the scones after two days of receiving the hamper. I therefore had to buy scones separate to give as a Christmas present. Very disappointing considering I paid £25 for the hamper.”

Hi Gemma. The scones have 5 days life from leaving here so yours should have lasted until 23rd Dec (where you planning on giving them as a present on the 25th?). They should never go mouldy after just 2 days unless they were left somewhere extremely hot like by a radiator. If you'd sent me a picture of them showing any issue whilst within their recommended life I could have sent out a replacement or given you a refund. Thanks, Sam

Hi Janette Sorry we were unable to resolve this, I hate customers leaving disappointed but once our courier had already delivered to the wrong address that you provided us with (which you acknowledge was your mistake) it's very difficult for us to fix. Thanks, Sam
