“Just dipped my toe into the wonderful world of Japanese knife ownership. One small step with a Sakai Takayuki Moonlit Waves Petty 135mm knife, basically for general duties but driven by a belief that Japanese knives have no peers .....let's first try some of their steel ones ! It's a lovely knife. Blade sculpturing is very nice and although not a 'trad' piece, the edge and balance are superb ! Great support on queries from these guys. I will be back for more in the months to come. Highly recommend thse guys”

“Have made my first ever purchase of a Japanese knife and have used it daily since its arrival and oh my gosh, I have truly been missing out on a great experience. I purchased the Masakage kumo gyuto as I wanted to go for something aesthetically pleasing and to say that I'm impressed would have to be an understatement as the knife is just stunning as well as the best cutting edge of any knife I have used to date. Looking forward to purchasing more from this range so that I can have the full range or be as close to it as possible. The only thing I want to say is that I was looking forward to the lucky penny which Masakage apparently add to each finished knife box but unfortunately wasn't present. Really appreciated the addition of the plasters though as on my first use let's just say I needed it 😂.”
