“Recently made my first investment into my kitchen by purchasing 2 chefs knives from Cutting Edge, I have nothing but great things to say! Prices were reasonable, deliver was much quicker than expected, and the quality & sharpness of the knives were well above expectation! The extra plasters were a nice touch!”

“Ordered a CCK cleaver from the guys at cutting edge knives for a good price, the website advised me ahead of placing my order that they weren't sending shipments for a few days. Good to be informed of this up front rather than wondering where my parcel was later on. Very quick delivery when the guys were back to fulfilling orders, would recommend and won't hesitate to shop with cutting edge knives in the future.”

“Ordered on the 11th Feb, received 21st. Took a while to arrive, - over a week in my case before shipping even got confirmed, despite saying on the site "We process and dispatch all orders on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays." Worth the wait but would have been good to know that unless you specifically choose DPD at a higher-rate, expect to be left at the mercy of Royal Mail untracked on top of any delay to actually get goods out. -- Responding to seller feedback: As a brand-new customer with no desire for social media, - and who assumed that an order would just be processed and shipped, nowhere during the ordering process did I see anywhere that listed you were on holiday, and *not* processing orders. You're asking customers to physically check in by email to query - which some won't do, - we'll patiently and politely wait for the order to arrive. So I don't believe the review is unfair. On the order confirmation email, - it states "Royal Mail 1st Class Untracked - (We ship Mon/Wed/Fri)" and there was NO notification of any delay. That's where most people would look. You're expecting people who arrive on your site from Google to do a full inspection of your T&Cs and current status before ordering, - that just doesn't happen. So no, you did not give as much information as possible in the right place, - their order confirmation email, - which is the one place sane people would look, and consequently the feedback in this review about the delivery, not the product, is absolutely warranted.”

While the dispatch date you mentioned in your review is accurate, we can't help but feel your negative reviews somewhat unfair given that we were away on holiday and weren't processing orders that week. We not only highlighted our shipping dates for that week in big text in a giant red box at the top of the postage, returns and contact page on the site, it was clearly detailed on the sale page and the email newsletter we sent out (twice) and just to be sure people knew orders would be shipped we even put a notice bar on the checkout summary page saying all orders would be shipped on our return the week commencing 19th Feb as yours was. We put the same messaging out on Instagram if you follow us there and also in an email auto reply if you contacted us to ask where your order was. It's difficult managing dispatches when we're a small business and have to close when we're away and negative reviews do have an impact but on this occasion we do feel we gave as much information about shipping dates to not warrant such feedback. I'm sorry you didn't see any of these messages about shipping, were not sure we could have made it any clearer in the week we were on holiday but if you do order again another time and it's not shipped quickly enough please don't hesitate to contact us and we can always advise on your order status. “Bought my first knives from cutting edge in 2018 and they still serve me excellently. Now upgraded my stones to Naniwa Professionals and glad to buy from cutting edge again as they provide such great service and don’t take the mick with the price mark up like some other stores.”

“Very pleased with my first purchase from Cutting Edge Knives, the Yoshikane Gyuto is just a thing of beauty and functionally exceptional. Many thanks to Ally and James for the purchasing process and communication which was excellent and super fast. Additional thanks for the plasters included which came in very handy during my first use of the knife and highlighted I need a bit more practice and a lot more respect for the crazy level of sharpness that the knife has! The website is really clean and easy to navigate, the descriptions are detailed and precise and the ability to see what is in stock or previously stocked is really helpful when looking to compare choices within a given budget. The prices are cheaper than everywhere else I have looked for quality Japanese knives and the service is second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend purchasing and supporting a brilliant local small business. I have already ordered an additional knife for my collection and have no doubts that this will be as excellent as the first.”

“If you are hesitating to order or keep comparing prices do not doing any longer . Sortiment of the best value and rare japanese blades and very handy and rare accessories . Recommend to follow them on instagram as they always keep you updated about new arrivals . Once you see your matching knife order it quick because the stock selling fast .”
