We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“I gave various Chococo chocs to my kid in their stocking. All three of them said it tasted a bit bitter and not great. It may be that they are used to Dairy Milk and just don't like the change. I also tried some and didn't love it.”

We're sorry to hear this, and you're probably right. Sadly there are so many nasties in cheap chocolate (sugar, palm oil, emulsifiers, flavourings plus a touch of slavery), but it's definitely the sugar that children tend to be addicted to, so our chocolate will taste different to them. It's the same for adults too, but understanding more about what's in your chocolate and where it comes from can help you make better informed decisions and get used to different tastes.

Thank you, we're so thrilled that you love our chocolates. A handy hint for chocolate extraction is to lift out the cardboard grid dividers which hold the chocolates in place. We put this little tip on our boxes and menus, so sorry if you missed it, but using toothpicks is an inventive alternative 😁️

We're so pleased you loved our packaging & service, but sorry to hear that our chocolate wasn't to your taste. Our chocolate is definitely not cheap or nasty - it's single-origin, slave-free, ethical, plastic-free, hand-crafted and hand-packed, all of which makes it far from cheap or nasty! And that's not just our opinion, but that of thousands of Chococo fans too. We're just sorry that you're not one of them 😢️

“We have been buying this for a couple of years and it is a winner every time! The penguins and the gold chocolate are our favourites but we are missing the little pots of gold nuggets/balls!”

“I BOUGHT SOME FOR ME AND SOME FOR A FRIENDS BIRTHDAY PRESENT AT CHRISTMAS. WE WERE BOTH VERY PLEASED WITH THE FLAVOURS AND PRESENTATION. MY FRIEND IS A DIABETIC AND SHE FROZE MOST OF THEM AND RATIONED HERSELF. CLEVER HER!”

Thank you, we're so pleased you enjoyed the flavours and presentation. Clever her indeed! We recommend that you wrap the box in clingfilm, or some kind of wrapping, to keep moisture down & to defrost the box slowly. The chocolates will lose their shine, and some may go a bit 'tacky' to touch but they will taste fine. Co-founder Claire's mum has been the chief tester for freezing Chococo chocolates as she spent many years living in the tropics and is a big fan of freezing things to extend shelf lives!
