Nicely presented, but the chocolates just were not as nice as expected for the price. I am very gutted.

We are sorry to hear that you didn't find the milk chocolate selection box to your taste as it is filled with many award-winners and some of our most popular chocolates with our customers both online & in our chocolate houses. They are handmade with single origin milk chocolate from Venezuela and fresh Dorset cream in the ganache-filled variants or other flavours like caramel or crunchy honeycombe which we make here at Chococo. Extremely disappointed with the flavours and the menu didn't match the products in the box, so very misleading. Would never purchase again!

We hope you feel happy now that you have given us such a poor review Sarah. I am sad to see this given the several email interactions we had and the long explanation I supplied in good faith about all the sweeter chocolates in the box that you hadn't yet tasted, after we received your initial complaint about the few you had tried (mostly dark chocolate ones) being too bitter. It would have been polite to respond to that email for us to follow up further but instead you go for the easy option of giving us an anonymous one star review. We fully appreciate that our chocolates are quite different to mass produced commercial brands and that you clearly have a different palette preference when it comes to chocolate. Hi, the chocolates are nice but the range is so small. The first 3 I chose from the card weren’t in the box. There were only about 6 different choices in total. For the money I would expect to sample most on the card.

The main thing is it took ages to arrive. It was a gift and I had no idea it hadn't arrived for xmas.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback but we are a bit confused as we have checked back to your order. We see that it was placed after we had closed our Christmas order book and the item you ordered was clearly marked as being available for delivery from January, which is what we did. We are sorry if you did not see any of those flags on our website but we had them both on the homepage and on the product page for all our items, both in the words and a flag on the product photo. The chocolates I ordered were eaten straight away, however, they weren't fresh as a number of them were off. It may be that the cream used in some of them wasn't fresh, which is disappointing.

Ordered on 2/12 arrived on the 18/12 too late for the recipients as they had already left for Christmas. I appreciate it is difficult times but never expected it to be so late. Wasted as they aren’t back until Jan.

Dear Mandy, We are very sorry to hear that the box arrived after the recipients had already left for Christmas as the box was sent out in good time with fresh Christmas flavours given your Christmas message, but don't worry, we will start their subscription again in January and extend it by definition, so they will not be wasted. Xmas chocolates sent out too early and when I queried this with the company got a very patronising email back from Claire telling me how wonderful their product is and that I should not be disappointed that when my presents that will be given on Xmas day and my family only have 6 days shelf life to eat them I should simply explain that they are lucky to have them as they are a xmas luxury such as Salmon or macarons. I think Claire should remember that usually the customer decides how good a product tastes.

So much for trying to give good customer service but I am 'patronising' for trying to explain how different our chocolates are. Hey ho, all I was trying to do was explain that our chocolates are fresh and would be fine to eat over Christmas like other fresh products - not that the recipients would be lucky to have them. I definitely didn't say that! How words can get twisted. All I can say now is that I hope this customer's family enjoyed eating them. Claire Burnet co-founder

Dear Ian, Andy was in contact with you about this before Christmas and we see that they have now been delivered but after Christmas, not the 17th December as you originally requested. Royal Mail made a real meal of this parcel didn't they. Sadly, once parcels leave us, how long they take to arrive is out of our control but we will back in the office on Monday to sort a refund for you and separately, we will go into battle with Royal Mail about why your parcel spent over 10 days in transit instead of 3 days. We are sorry that this happened but this year Royal Mail did have more challenges than normal and whilst most parcels made it ok, they struggled in some cases and we fully appreciate how frustrating it is for everyone and also for us as we work our socks off to despatch our freshly made chocolates in good time to meet our customers requested delivery dates. I am not happy as my receiver didn’t received any note on the date of the delivery and they were actually at home.

Dear Charisse, We are sorry to hear that you are so unhappy with our service that you have given us a 1 star review but we are a bit confused as according to the order i can see on the system, this parcel was coming to your home address and you would have been able to track its journey given you had the tracking details. Once the items leave us, we are in the hands of Royal Mail & their international partners and can only go by the information that is provided by them. Dear Brian, As you can see from your tracking information and your communication with us, your order is at the Royal Mail Jubilee distribution office in West London - sadly, as we have already explained, this is beyond our control so we can only hope that your order is delivered to you by Thursday. Please do get in touch with us again on info@chococo.co.uk in the new year if it doesn't turn up in time and we will refund you and separately will go into battle with Royal Mail for compensation. Please be aware that we are a small business and a 1 star review for something that we cannot control when we sent your order out to meet the timing you requested, is very disheartening - we are not in control of Royal Mail! Delivered on the wrong date, which meant the person was out. The driver left them in the middle of the lawn in bright sunshine, despite having perishable on the box. They were saved by a neighbour who noticed them, all in all not a good experience.

I’ve already emailed Chococo although no one has replied to say that the chocolate (bought as an Easter gift) was stale and as a result my husband has thrown it out.

Sadly you delivered the wrong happy birthday chocolate to my daughter.... I ordered the vegan friendly but sadly the milk chocolate arrived Very disappointing.... I have sent an email and tried to phone several times.... hopefully you will rectify.... Thank you

The order was not dispatched until after the expected delivery date. The response from the company did little to satisfy my disappointment. If the option to choose a delivery date is available, it should be adhered to, to the best of the company's ability. Don't over promise and under deliver.

I never received my order, I had brought presents for all my family for Christmas. It was sent via Royal Mail and a signature should have been provided, but was not. My post room at work confirm nothing was delivered for me on the date Royal Mail claim it was. I have successfully received all my other orders through my post room and know they can be trusted. When I contacted customer services at Chococo I was told I could try contacting the local depot myself as they had no more information than I did. Royal Mail say that the sender should deal with it (Chococo). I am now left with no gifts for Christmas and no help. I feel as though Chococo have stolen from me and am really upset.
