“We’re all asked to rate the purchases we make online but I very rarely do. However, I will this time simply because I had a very good experience with Charles Hobson. The boots I purchased are excellent in every respect; the quality of the leather, the fit and the memory foam inner sole. All first class and at a very reasonable price. The customer service was also first class. There had been a small problem with payment which they resolved within 24 hours. I highly recommend Charles Hobson.”

“I discovered Charles Hobson through an internet search for a specific Barbour jacket. The site was interesting and easy to use with excellent graphics and all the necessary information. My choice of size and colour were in stock so I ordered the Barbour Sapper jacket. Delivery was rapid and efficient with the customer kept informed at all times. “I ordered a Barbour jacket online and, when I telephoned the shop to get advice on sizing and had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Hobson himself, I experienced the kind of old-school customer service that’s sadly lacking in many establishments these days. “I purchased a Sapper Barbour Jacket from Charles Hobson at a price no one else can match. This is a win win for a quality product at such a great price. The icing on the cake with Charles Hobson was their aftercare service. Through no fault of the company i had to return the jacket due to a manufacturing issue, this after a considerable time after the 30 days. Charles Hobson engaged with me extremely quickly and did everything with their power to rectify this issue. They paid for the collection of the item and replaced this with a perfect replacement immediately. This Kind of customer service is excellent and I would recommend this company for both the quality of their goods but more importantly their excellent customer service.”

“I purchased a new Barbour wax jacket from CH and the online sales service was prompt and very competitively priced. The only negative is related to the manufacturer - I ordered a size larger than I would usually purchase [as instructed on CH’s web site]. I’m not an especially large man but the fitting, especially over the chest & shoulders, is very neat to the point where movement is partially restricted – hopefully the jacket will break in eventually. However, the manufacturer needs to review its size protocols as the actual size of the “XXL” jacket is more like “L” to “XL” for most other manufacturers.”
