“I bought a jacket a year ago and was extremely happy with the service I received. Unfortunately the jacket developed a fault. I rang the store and spoke to Chris who couldn’t have been more helpful, offering to get it sorted for me if I could send it back them. I decided to drive up to the store from Nottingham as I was visiting York anyway. And I am so glad I did, I met Chris and Charles today and I have to say that I was completely blown away by how friendly and helpful they both were. They went above and beyond to sort my problem for me. I would just like to say a big thank you again. It was well worth the 96 mile trip. Just wish I lived closer. I would be in the store every week. Keep up the good work guys. First class.”

“After a lifetime in the menswear trade, I am constantly saddened by the disappearance of the classical menswear shops. Charles Hobson ‘bucks’ this trend in his beautiful shop, trading under traditional values of retailing quality stock at sensible prices, with top class service. This shop is well worth a visit.”
