They quoted one price on the phone after I had given them photo evidence of what I needed and then they doubled the price when they arrived at the car location. I could have got the same service and faster from other companies had they told me the correct price at the time of booking but in order to book I had to pay a non refundable deposit so once they had arrived I had no choice but to pay the significantly higher new price.

Hi Harriet, We're sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. During the initial phone call, you advised us that the key you had was a dash key and confirmed that you were able to start the vehicle using the blade. You also sent us a photo of the key, and after several confirmations, you continued to advise that it was a dash key. When our engineer arrived, it became clear that the vehicle actually required a keyless remote, not a dash key. As a result, the service required was different from what had been booked. The standard price for supplying and programming a keyless key is £450. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we reduced the price to £380. Our quotes are based on the information provided at the time of booking. If the actual vehicle or key type differs from what was described, the required service and pricing may also change. We always explain any price adjustment before proceeding with the work and only continue once the customer agrees. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to do our best to ensure the quoting process is as clear as possible. Kind Regards, Car Keys Solutions Team

I had a locks fitted to my Ford Connect van 6 months ago and then 5 weeks ago the back door lock cylinder failed and I couldn't get into the back door , phone car keys solutions up and told them I had oiled the cylinder with WD40 and tried everything to try and get it working again they said they would send someone out he turned up and agreed with me that the cylinder had failed and said they would order another one and someone would contact me to arrange a second visit I did explain to him that I needed the use of my door for work . After 2 week i had not heard from them so call and was told that the company they get the locks and barrels from had move location and they were having trouble getting the parts after another 2 weeks with no info from them I call again only to be told they had received the wrong cylinder from the suppliers and they are waiting for it to be sent again . Bearing in mind I have had no access to the back of my van for my work for the last 6 weeks now I asked if they could replace both barrels so I only have one key and they said no . They just keep coming up with excuse after excuse and fobbing me off . IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY DON'T

Hello Paul, We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this situation has caused, especially as your van is essential for your work. When the issue was reported, we attended promptly and confirmed that the lock cylinder had failed. A replacement was then ordered immediately. Unfortunately, the delays that followed were due to unforeseen supply chain issues, including our supplier relocating and subsequently sending an incorrect part. These circumstances were outside of our control, but we fully appreciate that this does not lessen the impact on you. Throughout the process, we have continued to chase the supplier and keep the repair moving forward. We understand your disappointment with the length of time involved and apologise if our updates did not meet your expectations. We value all customer feedback and remain committed to resolving the issue as soon as the correct replacement part is received. Thank you for your patience while we work to bring this matter to a conclusion. - Car Keys Solutions Team

Company doesn't deserve one star. The 3hr time slot nearly elapsed, so I called them. They told me the technician was 3 mins away, but is stuck on another job. I was next and he'd be along shortly. They call back 10 mins later saying it could be as late as 6pm! Then changed it to 5pm. Come 5pm i'd had enough and cancelled the appointment. Thanks for wasting 5 hrs of my day, costing me money and my evening plans! See you next Tuesday's! I can't confirm I got a refund just yet. They want to hold my money for 5 days too now. Mugs!

Hello Mr. Adam, We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration caused on this occasion. We completely understand how disruptive long delays and changing arrival times can be, especially when you’ve set aside your day and made plans. Unfortunately, earlier jobs can sometimes overrun, but we accept that our communication and time management fell short here, and for that we apologise. Regarding the refund, this is currently being processed in line with our payment provider’s standard timescales, which can take 3-5 working days to reflect back in your account. If you’d like to contact us directly, we’d be happy to confirm the status for you. We appreciate the feedback, as it helps us improve how we handle scheduling and customer updates going forward. Kind Regards, Car Keys Solutions Team

Booked an appointment 10 days in advance then they cancelled it the day before I was due to visit and arranged it for another 4 days later, when I finally got to my appointment within 10 minutes I was told there was nothing they could do and I should contact Mercedes. So unhelpful but kept mentioning about the free diagnosis I received as if I should be grateful !

Needed two new dead locks for my van after loss of key they managed to damage both my side door and back door with the drill left massive scratches to both doors , charged us £280 for both locks and only took £50 off the total bill absolute cowboys made a right mess of the paintwork drilling the old deadlocks out!Gona cost me to get the van completely resprayed they promised the wouldn’t make any damage then blamed the dead locks for being to hard very unprofessional and took no responsibility for there careless work

I sent the photo of the key that I wanted . They sent me a photo of the key that was smiler to one I wanted. When there guy was on the way a gain, I was assured it will be the to the left one I need. I have my car keys to the guy. When he finished I was surprised when he gave me the cheapest key not similar to what I wanted. It was a it late for me to have argument with the guy. Also I had already paid £120 in advance. I paid the rest £60. I hoped that the company would rectify their fault but never happened.

very bad experience with their service. They said that we can cut a key for your car and It's only our engineer who can do this in the UK and they charged me a very high price and I paid deposit (They wanted me to pay full). On the day they didn't show up, I called they said Oh sorry, the engineer is going to be late for 3-4 hours and don't worry he is working on your case. He started asking for pictures of the key and how many buttons it has and photo from the door etc. I sent everything. Suddenly he messaged saying SORRY WE CAN NOT DO IT. He said the engineer is on his way and he lives far but then he said oh we can not do it. It was the most inconvenient experience I had with this company and I am very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the frustration and inconvenience caused. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We understand how disappointing it must have been to wait for the engineer and then be informed that we couldn’t complete the job, especially after taking a deposit and gathering all the necessary information. We asked you to send the following photos in order for us to make sure that our master engineer can really do the job. We should have communicated more clearly and managed expectations better from the beginning. Your feedback is taken seriously, and we’re currently reviewing what went wrong in this situation to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Again, we sincerely apologize for your experience and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. - Car Keys Solutions

Came to sort out a new key, didn’t have the proper key but gave me a substitute supposedly until they came back with the right key. Paid in full for the work. No contact for months so I had to ring them. Young lad came out to sort out the problem. Ended up being charged a further £100 and had to hand the substitute key back to be able to get the new key. Went on their site to leave a comment to find I had been blocked. Stay clear.

Thank you for your review. We're very sorry to hear about your experience — this certainly isn’t the level of service we aim to provide. We understand your frustration regarding the additional charge and the key handover process, and we take feedback like this seriously to help us improve. Regarding the issue with leaving a comment on our site, this is not something we would ever intentionally do to avoid feedback, and we’d be happy to look into it. If you're open to it, we’d really appreciate the chance to discuss this further and make things right. Please contact our customer service team directly. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

I was quoted the wrong price. When the engineer came he said he could not do the job for that price. After an hour of speaking to customer service to resolve the matter I was forced to sign a payment agreement to pay the additional balance even though I told them I could not afford it. I was told that if I did not agree to the payment plan the engineer will leave without doing the job and I will lose the deposit of £120

Avoid. I have paid a £450 deposit and keep being given the run around. Originally Nick said my key was being delivered Monday 8th April, then he told me would definitely be Thursday 11th. I took the day off work today and have waited in all day only to call at 5pm to be told that Nick has gone home for the day. He didn’t even have the decency to call me back. Terrible service.

I was completely lied to, on the phone I was quoted £30-40 for a battery replacement on my fob when I got there I was charged £90. I am not happy at all and felt reluctant to pay but I had to as it was required to be done.

They demaged my car, the rear parking camera stopped working, battery is always flat and cant start the car, and now waiting for 1 month for them to come an check it, that dose not mean fix it just check it, and all this time I am just charging car batter every day just so that I can use it for work, and have spent £190 for new battery now, and £28 for jumpstar cables, £140 for jumpstart powerbank just in case I go somewhere and I cant come back home. Plus not sure how much the rear camera fix will just me not to mention the time and fustration.. the idea is good but if you have a problem then your left with it to deal by yourself

At this moment in time I’m not very happy. My car goes in with a working front indicator light and comes out with the front indicator light not working. And the team can’t fix it. I’m extremely disappointed. I was left with, it could be this or it could be this. The car will have to come back to a garage to validate it. And they will charge me. I’m very disappointed
