Cowboys. Was booked in for two weeks and when arrived they said could program a Volvo key on a Saturday. Not a problem if they had said earlier but wasted a lot of time. Certainly not use these guys again.

Absolute rip off. Mechanic was an in competent who didn’t have the correct key despite saying the day before they did. Had to settle for a FIAT key which was so poorly put together it was on the verge of falling apart with the promise to contact us within a week with the correct key this was in Nov? Paid in full in good faith, never again. Feb we ended up having to contact them to get it done. Wife arranged this and was informed that it would be another £100. She agreed, mechanic turned up did a new key then demanded the old key which we had paid for before we could get the new key. Told him I would sort it out to them find out they had blocked me on Facebook. Probably better if you steer clear. Unfortunately we have had a few issues so have not been able to sort this out sooner but now I am back to full health I am considering my options including the small claims court .STEER CLEAR ANOTHER RIP OFF COMPANY.

1. Your colleagues are nice. 2. The duplicate car key body was scratched. 3. My car key has still not been received yet. 4. Sensitivity of the car seems too week since the key is keyless go type. Everytime, I need to stick to the car door, and open and close the door lock.

Don’t bother used them just before Christmas. Didn’t have a ford key so agreed to a Fiat key until they could get the Ford key. Paid for the job haven’t heard of then since. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them and as I found out after a bit pricey compared to other firms but needed the job doing quickly at the time. Update Eventually had to ring them as the key provided whilst supposedly awaiting the proper key started to fall apart. Then to add insult to injury I had to pay £100 for the correct key. As I read this it says opposite Queries resolved in under an hour took about a month to get any response. Not sure of my next move but working in a press office gives me a lot of options? Sorry not a very proficient company original workman was out this depth spent more time talking to his colleagues trying to get the fact he couldn't programme the key sorted out. All in all a very poor performance all round apart from scamming extra money from customers for their poor performance that in my opinion probably excellent at this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Dear Gordon When our technician arrived at your location on the day of the booking, we couldn't offer you a key with the 'jeep' logo, but we agreed that the key would look different because it was the only option we had at the time, and we thought it was important for you to be back on the road as soon as possible, and a shape or a logo of the key will not affect how the key will work, and we also offered you a £100 discount from the initial cost if you decide to keep it. We told you that we'd try to find a key similar to your previous one and that we'd contact you once we had it. We told you that it might take some time because they are difficult to find. (We also asked you to contact us if it is taking too long.) We returned to you with the key you desired, and after the job was completed, we asked you to pay the £100 that we deducted when we first visited you because we brought you the initial key. We couldn't leave you two keys for the same price because you only paid for one key, which was provided to you. Although we believe that the service we gave to you was fair, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Not a very pleasant experience. I was quoted a fixed price of £350.00 to fix a jammed steering lock, whatever the problem, "without caveats or qualification.2 Engineer who was called out changed the barrel which did not " fix the problem " They subsequently refused to remedy the issue or to provide the un- qualified fixed price fix they had promised or to provide a refund. In the end I had to obtain re-imbursement through my credit card issuer. They also informed me that their work was guaranteed but failed to provide a copy of their guarantee terms despite me requesting a copy of this straight after the job instruction and payment having been made. Overall not a good experience I'm afraid to say.

Local-Affordable-Fast. This is how this company advertising itself. Local? Maybe Fast? Maybe Affordable? Definitely not. Quoted for a new spear key programming £450. Another disappointing company try to over charge costumers.

We got a new, extra key for our car in April 2022. In December, I stopped the car and was unable to re-start it. I spent 4 hours waiting for the RAC to arrive who after doing lots of check wondered if it was a problem with the key, and I realised it could be because it was a new key that Car Keys Solutions has made, and not one of the original keys. We were able to get the original key to try this and it worked, rather than needing the vehicle to be towed unnecessary fortunately. I called Car Keys Solutions who said to bring it in and they would get it working again. I asked the person on the phone how often this happened and he said about 1 in 20 as they aren't as good as the original keys, that's why they are cheaper. This concerned me a bit but I thought we still could do with having this spare key but would be more wary of this in case the same thing happened again! We drove to the shop today, and they first told us that they had not supplied the key to us! Then they told us that we must have damaged it by trying to break through the casing to the chip which we have not done, why would we... They have refused to replace or fix the key. This is really disappointing as their product failed leaving me stranded in December. We wasted another trip to repair the key today as they suggested over the phone that this would be done. In summary bother with this company and pay to get a proper key from the dealer.

Dear Clare, When you arrived for your appointment today, we checked the key, opened it, and found physical damage (caused by high temperatures) and a cracked chip (the one that starts your car); this is not covered by the warranty; we informed you of the situation while you were in the workshop. You spoke with our manager, and he offered you a reduced price to repair your key, which you agreed to consider. All of that information is saved under your reference number. We never stated that our keys aren't as good as the original keys; we trust in our products, which is why we offer a 2-year warranty on spare keys! If you would like to discuss this further, do not hesitate to contact us! Regards, CarKeysSolutions Team!

Dear customer, Let us tell the entire story! You called us first to inquire about the price and if we could assist you, you couldn't stop the engine because you were afraid the car wouldn't start again. You spoke with one of the best sales agents, who informed you about the price and how we can REPAIR your ignition switch! You returned our call and accepted both the job and the PRICE! After the technician arrived and finished the job, he replaced the inside parts with NEW ONES you didn't want to pay us for! We have been waiting for you to make the payment for over an hour! Please keep in mind that we wanted to assist you from the beginning because we accept travel outside of the area that we cover and also offer you a lower price if you could come to one of our workshops! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!

My first video. Videoed in a bit of a rush so forgive me. I had to contact RAC as I lost the only key to my R56 Cooper S The RAC was brilliant, after several layers of people CarKeysSolutions.co.uk came to gain entry and program a key. They were billiant which is more than can be said for their cheap, junk fobs. Less than 24 hours and I guess I am going to have to buy a good key from BMW which makes paying RAC for key cover very pointless. https://youtu.be/0XjjD-CiiIM

Initial contact via text was answered with a quoted price of ‘70’. Whether that ‘70’ referred to pence, pounds or Pasetas, I’m not quite sure. The text helpfully added that this price was to ‘visit their workshop’. Perhaps the sender was a little new and hadn’t yet worked out that a car with no working keys may have difficulty visiting anything. Undeterred, I sent a text back asking where the workshop was. Even with all keys working, neither my car or I are psychic - which is a shame because I’ve never had a reply! Anyway, not one for giving up easily, I actually called the company, swiftly making a call-out appointment for later that day. Towards the end of (their) proposed 1hr arrival slot, the phone rang to tell me ‘they couldn’t make it today, only between 11.00 & 12.00 am the following day and the technician was…’ actually I don’t recall the rest, I was more concerned with a suddenly missing item. The will to live! To be honest then, I’m in no position whatever to review this companies service, becuase in truth I haven’t seen any. I can only bode warning against their stunning lack of it. Whether or not they can fix car keys, I have no idea,. What idol now of is talented ability to waste your time. If you have a day or so that you can claim back from the Universe or the Pearly Gates, then this company could be an option. If (like me), you don’t - then probably best avoided. As such, while this review may not exactly save a life - it’s deterrent factor may prevent over time the squandering of enough human hours to add up to one! And finally, this review system calling for honesty, proactively & dishonestly disallows it As such the one star rating shown is given grudgingly and only because it’s impossible to give none! If you’re stuck at the side of the road right now - improvise a small village,… you may be there some time!

Hello, We are sorry to hear that the issue with your Honda Civic was not resolved. We always try our best to sort out any issues on the spot. In your case, the fault with your alarm can be caused by : 1. Vehicle remote which does not work - The alarm starts if the vehicle has been locked remotely by pressing the lock button and afterwards opened manually by using the door lock. As you explained you opened the car manually - this is the main reason we visited you. 2. Also same symptoms can be determined if the alarm battery is low or if there is an issue with the alarm - we informed about this as well. Our agent informed you that this could be a key related issue that we fix on the spot or can be something else that will involve a £100 call out charge. Also to avoid the call out he asked if you can drive the car to one of our workshops for a FREE diagnostic since we were not sure it is key related. Our workshop is 20 min away. Our technician came to the vehicle and unfortunately the issue was not with the remote. The issue was with the alarm system on the car. At this point, he decided to help you by stripping part of the plastics covering the alarm system so you can see where it is and disconnect it yourself (for no extra charge). Call out was charged as agreed with my colleague over the phone beforehand. Nevertheless, we tried to contact you on 2 separate occasions to check I you managed to disconnect the alarm but unfortunately, no one pick up the phone. Please call us back and we will be more than happy to help you further in this matter.

I bought the correct key and chassis number from eBay and wanted this key as a spare. The contact from the company said that the key can be cut and programmed. When the man came he was unsure about the new key. So he cut the key and attempted to program it. The key cutting worked and opened and started the key. But the buttons on the fob wouldn't work. He seemed to be quick to offer me another key for extra money. Not happy as I am sure this key will work.

Had a potential issue with either my electronic switch or key fob on my Mercedes B class. I called car key solution on the day and a gentleman turned up promptly. Happy days so far. He basically spent the next few hours outside trying to diagnose the fault and it turned out to be the keyfob and a cost of £180, which in my humble opinion was very fair and I was happy up until that point. The problem was that it was only afterwards that the Technician mentioned that he did some alterations on the ECU to accommodate the new key fob to work. If he would have taken the time to mention this beforehand I would have informed him, that the car has had a remap in place. When I drove the car later that evening, I could tell straight away the car has been compromised in the way it drove. After a couple of email exchanges, I was asked to deliver my car to the finchley branch and leave it with them for a couple of days!! Not acceptable, also bearing in mind the additional cost of a cab to get me home afterwards and the in convenience in general with school runs and a small matter of getting to work. I basically said to the person I spoke too(Marius), let me think about it and I will call you back. I called back and was told that there is no Marius that works here and we will call you back. Still waiting as it has been over four weeks now??. For a general key cut would recommend but anything above that don't bother as it will be more hassle than it's worth.

I was told by the male controller on the phone at 20.00 that they can’t come out to replace/fix a key problem even though they advertise that they are open till 22.00...... not very good really.
