“Trying to get vin number but has given other information would be better if had separate place to get vin number using registration plate”

“I was asked to write a review, with promise of a full refund. Seemed a good idea, so I wrote one, the check was okay anyway, but surprise surprise, the refund never came!!! So please bear that in mind if you read reviews about how good the service was???? It's not!”

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we strive to provide the best experience we can for our customers. The DVLA does not allow us to expose full VIN to the customers in order to avoid vehicle theft, cloning, or crime.

“Some great detail if you are looking to buy a used car. My requirement was finding the full chassis number, which is unfortunately not available (just the last 6 digits)”

“It was OK. All I really wanted to know is has the car got a loan it.. I think its called a book loan. But that is much more expensive. The rest is available free from the government website. But, I did like the interface and layout.”

“Very useful but i found it disapointing that essential information like checking if vehicle has any outstanding finance or been written off was only obtainable with the full report while things like the MOT history were included in the basic report. I feel is should have been the other way around with essential information like finance and write offs to be in the basic report and additional information like MOT history as part of the full report.”

“Your Basic HPI check is cheaper but does not include the category check. There are alternatives for 3-4 pound Basic check included category check. I rather 1-2 pound expencive but includes category check Thanks Tugrul Meral”

“Customers should at list been given the opportunity to know more about the VIN number so they can check if it matches with vehicle they're buying. Given only the last 5digits helped, but not as much as comparing the full details of VIN number.”

“This program is quite simple and quick to access, the payment process doesn’t take as long as you would expect. Although the colour coding of what will be revealed could be made a lot More clearer. As I thought I’d be able to find out if the car was written off or not.”
