“hi sorry for the bad feedback I wanted to check the VIN and engine number against the bike as I have no log book your check did not give me the VIN and engine number I was very disappointed reg no xsl554a”

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The DVLA does not allow us to expose full VIN to the customers in order to avoid vehicle theft, cloning, or crime.

“AVOID! Do not use this company!!! Went out to buy a car and used them to do a check before hand (November 2020) all came back clear! Turns out the car was written off it 2016 😡 emailed them a number of timed and they aren’t bothered! Phone number goes through to a garage door company”

“Misleading. If you pay £1.99 for basic information it says it will give you the VIN. In fact it only gives the last 5 digits.”

“Very basic and nothing special, you can find those details from a free app. They don't tell you if the car was a "write off". I bought the same hpi check package for £2.95 on instant car check and reveals more details. My first and last experience with these guys. Avoid it and don't waste your money.”

“Did a HPI check on a £14K car thinking could rely on the information provided instead learned the hard way, wasted a whole day went to see the car to find out the information acquired was completely inaccurate.”

“Thought I was paying for the finance check (but it weren't included in the £1.99 charge). It wasn't made clear when purchasing through mobile. Very disappointed. Ended up purchasing again from HPI. Only writing this review cos they promised me a refund.”

“this is by far the worst site that i have ever used, charged to upgrade on false pretences, basiclly a huge rip off, and the fact that i have just got an email from them saying if i leave a review they will give me a refund, well that says it all”
